Love the mussels.. Great mu…. Love the mussels..Great mussels, fresh swordfish and nice atmosphere. The restaurant has the look and feel of fine dining, and the food certainly matched. Service was friendly, and the waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and suggesting a meal that would pair well with your wine. The BYOB aspect is great. La strada has a wonderful view of the lachine Cannell which is a hot spot in the summertime. I was not expecting very much from a BYOB restaurant. La strada exceeded my expectations right from the start.
Ugh. All this restaurant has going for it is the location. It’s nicely situated along the canal and the bike path in lower Lachine. The food is unremarkable and over priced, my wife’s pasta was almost cold when it arrived. The service was certainly the most disappointing part of my meal. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, and the waiter that served us was gruff and ungracious. I love to support my local restaurants, but this one will not be revisited.

Food was great. Very welcoming, warm staff. Byob is a plus. Nice location (lake shore in Lachine).
