  Called to order a Tofu with eggplant and went to pick up. Very suprised when I got home and opened the container to see half of it was rice! I called them to inquire and was very bluntly told to call next day as they were closed, which I could understand since it was past 10pm. So I mentioned that I just wanted to inquire about the order I just placed and was told dryly again to just call back in 2 words and then got hung up on.Having ordered chinese take out many times, this was the first time I got half of the portion made of rice, which makes the price expensive at $11 + tx for half rice in the portion. At every other chinese restaurant, they give you a full portion of what you order and you can order rice separately for about $3 a portion. When I called next day, I was told that is how they do things and that just sounded suspicious as I mentioned that when I was there eating at the restaurant itself a few days ago, all the dished came as 1 full portion and rice was ordered separately. They then proceeded to tell me that eating inside the restaurant is different and that is how the serve take out. That was a very dubious explanation! This has never happened before and I believe they just cheaped out by adding half rice maybe because they ran out of eggplant or tofu that day as I ordered late. So food was just OK (a bit too oily), got cheated on food, and service was aggravating! I cannot possibly recommend! And I am chinese btw and order take out many times from other restaurants. This is my first review as I was so pissed with that situation.

  I drive in, 45 minute drive to get this food. The service is great, I have never had any problem with cleanliness, always get a receipt if i want it (not everyone wants a receipt, I work in a place where I am obliged to give my receipt…no one wants it) Cool eats, don’t know what happened for you but if you never go there you will be missing one of the very best General Tao’s and Broccoli Beef. Jmcecilia…don’t know what happened when you were there…I guess to each there own…but again. I travel 45 minutes to get it and 45 minutes to return home…not too many places I would go out of my way for…but this is well worth the trip.
