One of the few places that I used to eat dim sum at in Montreal was Kim Fung in Chinatown. Im not sure if these two are related but I mistakenly thought in my mind that Kam Fung was Kim Fung. Oops. Well, if you find yourself crossing the bridge and heading to the south shore, this might be worth a try.On Boxing day, we decided to brave the crowds and head out for dim sum. Lucky for us, one of my relatives got there early and managed to get the #1 spot. First one seated! All I can say is get there early because the lineup was pure insanity. The seating area is massive, think banquet style, yet it was completely full by 11:00am. When we were trying to exit, it was like leaving a zoo. There were 15 of us so no way good pictures were going to happen. We ate the usual staples (ha gow, siu mai, cha siu bao, ha cheung, woo guk, tripe, bean curd, fried squid, rice with spare ribs, and jouk to name a few). The prices are in the $3.75 $5.50 range if I recall correctly.Decent dim sum but pretty standard in my books. I wouldnt drive all the way off the island if it was my choice. cherrybobombs.wordpress.com

Go often for Dim Sum and never disappointed. You must go at peak hours for the best choices on the carts. But if you go at less busy times, the plates may be less warm.
JonathanIf they would tell me I didn’t tip.enough i would say you guys didn’t serve me well enough for 15% and now that you told me i did’nt give enough i’d give 5% and one more word and its 0%. tip goes with service!
We clearly have a craving for asian food this month. We decided to give a try to La maison Kam Fung in Brossard cause we heard nice comments about it. The food was not bad at all and the restaurant was loaded. The service was really fast even quite in a rush. For Brossard I would say its good Chinese food but not compared to Chinatown. We had a special combo with many dishes to have a chance to taste many things as possible. Everything was good except the dessert . Maybe its a special traditional dish but it was called tapioca and had nothing in common with the tapioca I used to know. It was served really warm and it was brown and… taste like crap…sorry
Very typical Chinese food. Fresh steamed oyster is yummy. The quality is stable throughout the years. The menu is stable too. Therefore, no surprise…
Went for a late dinner, the place came highly recommended by a chinese coworker and she didn’t lie. Just Amazing. Order the crab balls, spicy beef and salt and chili spare ribs So So good. Good service, food tasted and looked fresh, no complaints. Will return
