A Tasty, Affordable Experience. Indian food is different! Please note – it is better when you actually take it with the hot sauces, and use the Naan bread and rice. For a medium price one can take a chance on a luncheon buffet, at this nicely decorated place, and the service is quite friendly. The pickled carrots with roasted sesame seeds was a good discovery. The butter chicken was tasty and tender. The Tandoori-chicken with fried vegetables came with a nice choice of sauces to accompany the fried foods mint sauce, yogurt sauce, hot pepper sauce, and brown gravy. The Naan bread was good and they kept on bringing more fresh ones. It went very well with the sauces. The desert rice pudding with cardamom, rose-water and almonds was aromatic and tasty dont miss that one! I will try this restaurant again!
Healthy dinner for 2. First time in this small, but very cozy restaurant. Enjoyed a tandoori special,, called the tandoori feast – no cream! which offered, soup, tandoori chicken (on bone), chicken tikka (no bone), tandoori shrimp, curry beef, curry vegetable and tandoori ground beef, basmati rice. Plus naan bread. And dessert all for $16.95! We ordered the special for one person, there was enough for 2. Also try the Katchumber salad, refreshing. All the tandoori items arrived on a hot plate and were grilled – the healthy way!
Not impressed. Some of my friends rave about the food here, but I don’t get it. The food is mediocre at best. Went at lunch on a weekend where the buffet is the only thing they have available. Lamb curry didn’t have any curry in it. The butter chicken was alright. Both were heavy and made us feel uneasy after about 10min. The naan bread usually makes or it breaks it for an Indian restaurant. It was a failure here. Extremely dry and no taste. I’ve had good Indian food and I guess I was expecting more here, but I was let down. Only upside was the price. Probably wont come back unless I’m desperate for Indian and don’t want to leave Laval.
Good food, great service & location. Highly recommended…
Terrible service. Not worth paying for a place with ok food but extremely terrible service. The server at my table was handled by a short slim pretty looking girl with extremely rude and nasty negative behavior. If I was the owner of this place I would get rid of her.Hey girl, get some brains and politeness so you don’t kill the business.
Delicious!. I have always liked Indian food so when I first tried tandori palace, I had already high expectations. The restaurant did not disappoint. Tasty food with excellent service makes for a second visit. Price wise, not too bad I guess, we were 3 people and the bill with tax came out to $55. We ordered a muligataney soup (highly recommend), a vegetable soup, these fried onion things as an appetizer (top 10 appetizers I have ever tasted at any restaurant), the butter chicken which was a little thick but still very good, 2 vegetable dishes and at the end 2 coffees $3.50 each…YIKES!) and a naan bread, very greasy but again very good. The place was clean and well kept. My only complaint, a bit expensive compared to other Indian restaurants (not to mention, the portions were on the smaller side)
Surprising! Extremely delicious.
