Flying out of YUL we had enough time to stop for a bite so we decided to try this place out. Service was a little slow but their variety was impressive for a restaurant inside an airport. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich while my wife ordered the sausage and we shared both meals. Their pork was so tender and juicy with just enough bbq sauce which is refreshing because most restaurants would dump bbq sauce over their pork and mask the taste! The fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly! The sausage was also nice and came in a pretzel bun which I love! If service was better, I would have given it a 4 star rating.
I ordered the half rack of ribs…..I get the full rack and when I bring it to the attention of the server, it was like I was bothering her. Then digging into the ribs i realize they are burnt to a crisp on the bottom. I refuse to eat all of the ribs…because it’s too much food and also that they are burnt. I get the bill and I am charged for the full rack of ribs, too weary to argue. This will be the first and last time time I eat here at the pork and pickle in Montreal airport. I will say that the beer was cold. Feb. 20, 2019.
Quick, fast and tasty. Slow roasted brisket on a toasted baguette, side of fries and a pickle. A slight modification on the traditional smoked meat sandwich (although they still offer it). The sandwich was tasty, meaty and Best of all had a layer of brisket fat that melted. Fries were okay…nothing to rave about. Also available were rotational taps and they didn’t mind that I sat around waiting for my flight and working from my laptop for a little longer.
Angus burger was over cooked and black on both sides even weirder than that they didn’t serve the burger with anything like mayo ketchup or mustered. Very dry burger without something added.coleslaw was very good freshly made and seasoned perfectly.French frys where well cooked crispy and crunchy and very flavourful with the parmasan and parsley that topped them. The berry mixed alcohol drink was good enjoyed the glasses they served the drink in. Berrries where so good I dug them out of my drink to eat! 🙂 must say the service was great very attentive and helpful.
