2018/11/06Archibalds is really pushing the rustic Canadian decor, with moose antler chandeliers, moose heads and snow shoes on the walls, red and black plaid seat backs in the booths, and lots of rustic wood everywhere. I had just arrived at the airport early evening, and the restaurant was on the way to the hotel, so I stopped in for dinner. Its a fairly large restaurant and it was a bit more than half full when I arrived at 7 pm. The menu has a variety of pub food (wings, burgers, pizza, pasta), and some items have an international twist. I chose the Goat Cheese and Mushrooms from the burgers section. It was 6 oz of Highland beef topped with creamy cheese, earthy mushrooms, fresh tomato and lettuce, with a basil pesto mayonnaise. It was a pretty good burger. I guess it better be, for $19.75. It also came with a side of fries, served in a small stainless steel bucket. Service was good. So to recap, nice food, good service, interesting ambiance, high prices.
