Mediocre steak and lamb. Went there this week, middle of the week.Comparison is to True quality steaks from Argentina and a few places in Brasil.Ambience: 8/10Service/quality: building in bad shape, wobbly table by fireplace, wood on table surface not even, had to eat off angle to keep plate flatSteak quality and taste 6.5/10Lamb 6/10Value 3/10Sides (garlic mashed), appetizers (steak tar tar, scallops and calamari tried) 9/10Wine selection very goodOverall, eating at kiosks at local market in Argentina for 2 dollar steaks far surpassed the porterhouse and strip sirloin. The steak is so soft, melts in my mouth. One of my favourite steakhouse in Ottawa/Gatineau region. The place need an update though… Been the same for the past decade…
Excellent food and service. Four of us came in to celebrate a birthday. The steaks were excellent. The scallops superb. Calamari, some of the best I’ve ever tasted.Our waiter was attentive, smart and delightfully helpful.Yes, the prices may be higher here, but the payoff is magnifique!
Good but not worth it.. L’endroit est chaleureux, le dcor et splendide et le service tait impeccable.Comme entr, j’ai pris les crevettes lgrement pannes (absolument dlicieux!) Dommage que l’assiette ne contienne que 2 crevettes. Mon conjoint a pris la salade csar, il l’a trouv bonne, trs belle prsentation, il dit en avoir dj mang de meilleure.Pour les plats principaux, j’ai pris le petit filet mignon et mon conjoint le Papa’s cut. Les assiettes n’taient pas mmorables (beaucoup de gras sur le Papa’s cut, filet mignon plus cuit sur un ct que l’autre, patate pile fade).Le tiramisu pour dsert tait trs bon. Avec th et caf, aucun alcool, la facture tait autour des 150$ sans pourboire. En bref : avons eu de meilleur exprience gastronomique ailleurs pour moins cher.
Poor Customer Service. The food may be fine but Sterling provides poor customer service. I went to Sterling a month ago with my family to celebrate my brother’s 50th birthday. My brother and sister-in-law each ordered a three-course dinner. The rest of us ordered a simple one-course dinner. We all had to wait for them to reach their third course before the rest of us got anything to eat. That was over an hour! I’m not counting the damn bread. You do not make people wait for food because of what someone else had ordered. I cannot recommed this restaurant to anyone.
Best Steak. Best steak Ive had. Great service. Would definitely go again.
