Food matches the service YUK!. What a fiasco. Loved the dcor but the service was simply H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E.We had gone to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. The waiter was extremely rude and was constantly standing behind everyone with a hot coffee pot or food platter and would cut between two of our guests without excusing himself and had my dad and other guests turned around, their faces would have been burned by the coffee pot. He repeatedly would reach over without excusing himself. Upon bringing the dessert platter, he barged in between two guests without excusing himself and actually hit them with the platter. There wasn’t even enough room for the platter to fit between the two guests! Hello? Ordered the escargots bourguignon au gratin and it tasted like cheap oily tomato sauce. No trace of Burgundy in my books. The jumbo shrimps and scallops were very average and actually tasteless. Thank God for the white sauce which again was too salty. The caesar salad consisted of lettuce, tiny morsels of bacon with no anchovies which was expected but no lemon wedge and a tiny sprinkle of cheese. We had asked for a piece of cake to be brought to the birthday boy and he was served lemon meringue pie instead.??? We were served by David 2 who’s an older gentleman with a mustache. Your foreign accent was cute but unfortunately doesn’t match the service. Will not be returning ever!
Terrible service. Went to Roma Antiqua with my family on a Saturday night. they seated us with no menus and no silverware on the table. it took 15 minutes before anyone noticed we were seated. then they brought the menus but the server was distracted and could not answer any questions. it took 2 attempts to get a bread basket and the bread was frozen in the middle. the server brought the wrong orders after an hour of sitting there. the food was hardly acceptable. will not go back. i dont recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Terrible. The food, the service and the ambiance are horrible. This was my first and last visit to this unimpressive and outdated restaurant. As soon as I entered the restaurant I wanted to turn around and walk out. As you walk in, your faced with two racks of coats, very nice, you’d think when they build a restaurant (in Quebec no less!) they would take in consideration that we have a long winter and coats are going to be part of the scenario, therefore find another place for them, not in the corridor between the entrance and the kitchen!The set up of the tables is very restrictive, many of the tables were place in such a way that once you sat down, you were trapped and someone else has to move to let you out. Tables are too close together and crowded. I ordered from the Table d’Hote, (soup or salad, main dish, tea or coffee), the choice was quite varied. The salad was very disappointing, huge pieces of ICEBERG lettuce that I had to cut with a knife, terrible! When I ordered my main dish I told the waitress to indicated not to put too much tomato sauce, lo and behold, the overcooked linguini were swimming in what looked like tomato juice, I left 3/4 of my plate uneaten. The coffee had obviously been sitting in the pot for an undetermined amount of time. Absolutely disgusting. Suggestion: shut down permanently or overhaul EVERYTHING!
Great Restaurant. Delicious BYOB, well worth the drive! Food is stand-out, service is wonderful, ambiance is warm and set-up is very chic. Anybody to whom we have recommended this restaurant has returned. A+.
Great Restaurant!!!. Great food and service! Been there quite a few times and have never been dissapointed! Great place to get together with family and friends! Even better, it’s bring your own wine! Highly recommended!
I’ve been there several times, and I intend to go back! The food is made with some serious love. I’ve had the surf and turf, but my all time favorite dish is the seafood linguini. The service is top notch! I have nothing to complain about! Highly recommended!
