We are new to the area so we went to Mon Village after hearing all the hype about it. Hmmm..not sure what the hype is about though. We enjoyed our onion soup but nothing more. Prime rib was not very tasty and the pasta was ok. Hoped it would have been more authentic and cozy food.
Great place! Most amazing garlic bread, French onion soup, chilli, roast beef….. Awesome ambiance- especially in the colder months with fireplaces all around and a really rustic feel!
This one is old school, it’s a step back in the 80s, wood, fire place and confort feeling. Nothing to talk about, just good food, for the right price. Simple place, big place. For salads, sea food or meat, its the good spot.
I live in the neighborhood and go there pretty often, I have 2 young children and they love their appetizer of nachos followed by their spaghetti, they take the same thing every time, the portions are big enough that they can share ( ages 2 and 5). I like that it’s close more then the food personally, it’s not that it’s not good, it is good but I like a big salad with full of veggies as a meal or duck confit on mashed and that’s not the type of thing you find there. I have the seafood pasta or one of the beef sandwiches and I’m satisfied, it beats cooking and cleaning 😉 The pecan pie is one of the best deserts I have ever had in my life, order that! And in the summer the terasse is extremely pleasant, I can let the kids loose and actually talk to my husband! They’ll see me there at least a couple times a month until they close or we move!
Unless you’re a regular your treated like crap. OK food, not worth the price.
Good pub food in a rural country town. Nicely themed and service is awesome. Waiters are friendly and always around. Kid friendly as well. My suggestion would be any of the pub specialties. Personal favourite is the roast beef dip!
Great stop!. Great place to meet up with friends and grab a pub meal. Fish and chips were good as was the Roast prime rib.
