The food is generally good. I like the dips and the fries best. I like the ambiance but it is a very noisy restaurant. The service is okay. Will proba…

Very disapointing experience... made reservation for 20. We were scattered accross 3 round tables and a booth... not ideal for a birthday celebration …

Extremely disapointed. I doubt I’ll get any feedback from this post but what the hell…let’s try to see if they care!I’ve been on multiple occasions to Le Baton Rouge in Hull on St-Joseph, in fact, it has been a place to meet many of my clients and friends. I have referred this place to large number of people but as of NOW I will NOT REFER!!!I was there the week they open a few years back and immediately liked it, food was done with care and attention, I could say, that being a business man, I was there at least twice a month. Until it happened last year, I was served with a Duck confit salad that was absolutely disgusting, smelly and uneatable. I am a very polite and patient person, so gave them a chance. Following month a group of us (2 friends from Vancouver) had diner and one of my guest had this pototo soup and burger that had to be returned. They apologized and bla, bla bla….I told the manager that I will give them another change.Yesterday they served me and my guest this Tuna and salmon salad…Horrible. Both salad were frozen green and the fish, especially mine was smelly like it was left under the counter for 5 days!Get your act together…You will lose your business if you continue charging 23$ for rotten food. I will follow up with a call.
Horrible food. Came for lunch on Saturday, my husband and I are from Montreal. We ordered from the lunch menu, which came with soup and coffee.I ordered steak frites, and my husband fish and fries. The potato soup was inedible,It seemed like it was at least a week old, tasted and looked like a blob of glue, did not eat it.Our food came, my baked potato which I always enjoy in Montreal looked funny, it looked old, took a bite and it tasted bitter, sent it back got fries, just to find out later that my potato had not been cooked that day, the waitress said it was from the day before, I couldn’t believe it. My beef was horrible, it also had what seemed like freezer burn on it. My husbands fish seemed like it had been fried and refried. The only good thing was the coffee, made sure that it was fresh before we took it. We will definitely not be back at this location.
Bad service. Service atrocious, waited 40 minutes and was ignored …. for average food
Waste of money!. I had organized a 30th birthday dinner at baton rouge for my brother birthday. i received the wrong order. My husband ordered what he requested, however he was very disappointed with the food and the presentation. After everyone, meaning party of 18 finished their meal, i received my meal, at that point. I informed the owner, of how disappointed I was and I don’t think it’s fair to pay for a meal i didn’t receive due to an error, and also got the replacement meal after everyone was done eating. I understand my husband meal was not as good but at least he got what was requested and did not wait for 25 mints extra to get his meal. For a while, the manager didn’t want to admit that they got the order wrong and at the end, he said he will fix it.When I went to pay, i was charged for the meal i didn’t eat, as i received it too late, and I made sure i tell the owner, I would never organize another event at their restaurant, that out of 18 people, they couldn’t take the responsibility of taking one meal out for their mistake. I have never seen a terrible service from management and I can’t believe i spend $130 for meal for two, which we didn’t enjoy. I would never go back to this baton rouge.I had amazing experience with quality and service of baton rouge in downtown ottawa, but very unprofessional and terrible service from the baton rouge in gatineau. After the dinner, I realized that people were complaining about the food at this restaurant so it seemed like we were not the only one.If you want good food, and good service, I would not recommend this restaurant.
Great ribs. We went there for our wedding anniversary and it was a great atmosphere for it. The only item on the menu that interested me was the ribs so that’s what I had. They were melt in your mouth tender and the sauce delishious! My husband had the rib steak which he said the taste was great but found it had a little to much fat. With his steak came a salad and choice of side. He took the baked potato just like me. I found it weird that my meal didn’t come with a salad. I could have ordered one on the side but that would have been almost 5$ more. Our meals were great but a little high priced for my taste. The waiters were efficient and polite. Also I found the wine list expenssive.
Prices are too high for the crappy food you get. I ordered a chicken finger meal and the fries were rlly greasy and looked alittle undercooked. The chicken was plain with not much flavor. Probably wont be back
Waste of money. The first time I ate at Baton Rouge several years ago, the ribs were big, juicy and DELICIOUS! Last night, the ribs were small and dried out – totally inedible! Total waste of my hard earned money! Will never ever eat at a Baton Rouge restaurat again!!!!!
