Maybe Sushi Hull is passable for those who live in Gatineau given that there’s little options unless you go across the bridge to Ottawa, but with that said Sushi Hull is terrible. The prices are fair, but I suppose you get what you pay for… we ordered a sushi platter and they sprinkled a bunch of star-shaped carrots on it, I don’t really care for garnishes that don’t really have a place on the food. The nigiri was tasty, but the rolls (since they’re ‘chefs choice’) were cheaply made, lots of rice, and taste the same… no variety in the rolls so if you’re going to order their chefs-choice platters, I’d advise against it unless you like avocado rolls and 3 variations of a California roll.
I have gone here frequently for the veg sushi and miso soup. I love it and the family that owns this restaurant is very friendly. Family owned and cozy. Delicious rolls.
Nice place, bad sushi. I could read a book while sipping a beverage in this nice little restaurant with newspapers available. But the sushi is poor in quality. The salmon has tons of veins, and they serve room-temperature fish in their rolls for some reason.
