The star of the show is the impressive all-you-can-eat sushi menu. Sashimi is offered throughout the day if that rocks your world. The service is very attentive and friendly and the price is fair for what you get. They do offer menu item if the AYCE option is not your thing. The only real downside is the parking lot fills up fast due to the popularity of the restaurant and other shops in the small plaza.
YIkes! I don’t know what is happening at this place, but it is going downhill! Everything is premade evidenced by the amount of time between ordering and receiving the dish. Nothing tastes like it was just made, tastes premade and nuked! The salmon on the sushi pizza smelled fishy and tasted off! Last time I go to Hasu and it’s too bad because it is a close place for me to go for lunch. I’m done.
I have been to Hasu Sushi & Wok twice now. The first time it was great. Service is great all around on both visits, The ambiance, decor and local may not be optimal. It used to previously be a Pizza Hut, not much renovations have been done to the place, But then this is common in suburbia where these types of places exist in strip malls. What is great is they offer all you can eat sushi and Asian fare, I was happy to have found a new place where I can satisfy my Asian cravings and with two for one coupons this is even better. The second visit was pretty generic. We were rushed as the kitchen was only open for another 45 min. The sushi was not fresh and the other items on menu sampled were just okay. But Hasu still beats a lot of other contenders in the West Island. Eater beware of old Asian places in West Island. Lots of them had to close for unclean conditions. montrealfoofoodie.com
Here’s the deal with this place, fantastic on the all you can eat buffet (sushi n main) however….. We recently ordered take-out, on the off day, you would think that they would step it up to gain the popularity, and increase clientele Unfortunately I felt I was an unimportant number and served last nights dinner, bland, mushy, tasteless, it was edible but not enjoyable. My recommendation is to dine in, there you are guaranteed to have the freshest, succulent, fair you can imagine, do this and you will not be disappointed
I was very excited to eat at a new all you can eat sushi place in the west-island that is 20$ ( AS IS SAYS ON THEIR ONLINE SITE) However it was a terrible experience. I went on a Thursday night and I was told it was half off for women! YES. when I got there she said I couldn’t eat for half price, because I was with my boyfriend. I asked her what was the regular price and she told me 25$, confused I showed her that online it said 20$ per person. So i asked to speak to a manager, however the manager was too busy to take a customer consern which I was very shocked. It was complete false advertisement and the manager did not even want to compensate me for my troubles. Very rude workers and shocked that they couldn’t compensate for their mistake. Never returning that is for sure.
This place does not open on time. This place is decent for it’s price for an all yo can eat sushi…we go there once in a while. I google their opening hours for your last lunch and says 11:00 and we showed up at 11:40 and the place was locked and pitch dark inside…so we thought they bellied up. I decided to call a few days later to see if they are still in business and someone answered. When I asked why they weren’t open that day, I was told that the workers were probably just late for work. What kind of business establishment is that when everyone shows up to work late. I don’t live that far but still a 20 min drive. Think they just lost us a customers.
Cheap but great food!. Great food, service and cleanliness. The style and cleanliness of the restaurant is great. It is not those all you can eat places where everything is falling apart. The service was the best I’ve ever had in an all you can eat sushi restaurant. The servers take their time to explain everything and do not rush you. The food is very good and you son’t wait too long for anything. everything is well seasoned and the menus tell you exactly what you have in your sushi. Price is very CHEAP for what they have to offer. I would recommend this restaurant, even to first-time sushi eaters.
