ON THE HUNT FOR GREAT BREADED JUMBO SHRIMP & CHICKEN SOO GUY. This place tried but the shrimps were small and breading was too much to suit my taste. Same with the chicken soo guy. It wasn’t cheap either. My search continues…..
Disappointed with lunch!. I was not impressed with the service nor the food. The Dim Sum is quite expensive prices starting at 3.75 to 6.50 per small dish. TOFU skin rolls filled with what looked like frozen vegetables ( cubed carrots, peas, something that looked like celery, no Chinese vegetables just had a smidgen of Chinese mushrooms.Cantonese chow mien was a soggy mess of noodles with stale tasting broccoli (that seemed to have having passed it’s best before date). Had eggplant hot pot, with meat sauce…. horrible mess , overlooked Chinese eggplant in a sickly sweet sauce. l. Never had anything that tasted this bad in my life Rice was extra at 6.00 for a medium bow. I used to love eggplant hot pot The service was lacking, it seemed that they were doing me a favor. Not the first time that my food was lacking in freshness. I gave them the benefit of having had maybe a bad day, before but this is the third time…I have been disappointed, I used to love this restaurant. They have lost me as a client and I would never recommend it to any of my friends
User reviews. We went not long ago, and we were very disappointed. My wife is Chinese and will never go back. Even for me, a white guy, the food was both mediocre and expensive.
I would strongly urge everyone who reads this to find another restaurant.
Ping is king. Ping is the best chinese restaurant I have eaten at in a very long time. We discovered it when it started out on Monk Blvd. It was like chinese food used to be . Wonderful rices , General Tao chicken, etc etc all delicious. Ping then opened another restaurant beside SUPER C on Newman and we discovered how good dim sum could be. We love it. We go as often as we can. I have relatives coming from NB and ONT and always want to drop in. Really really goood food.
Ordered 2 wonton soups 10 egg rolls $27.00.Soup had no flavor at all egg rolls were actually spring rolls also with no flavor, cooked in old oil, soggyWe threw out the whole orderInedible.
Authentic. So glad that LaSalle has an authentic Chinese (canton) cuisine. However service can be slow when they are full house, which could happen in Chinese festivals or tour arrived. Other than that, their food is very decent, price is acceptable.
