We did not call ahead to order the duck the day before so can’t report on that. If you see this early enough go ahead – order the duck. For two This was our one night out on vacation without the kids, and what a fabulous experience. It was a mix of couples on date night and other small groups of adults in a cozy dining room. Our waitress knew the menu and the wine list well. Most of us ordered off the fixed price menu. There was also a tasting menu for two or more which we considered that had a little of everything. We ordered the cauliflower soup – a rich creamy bowl – and each had a choice of entree. The deer was good – well cooked in an amazing sauce, but I preferred my husbands cod, which was light and fluffy and buttery. The potato puffs – the side with the heartier meats were to die for – whipped potatoes in a breading that had been fried. Yummmm! My friends duck breast was very tender and delicious. Creme Brle was flamed and torched at the table but the chocolate ganache was to die for. Very nice wine list. Chef sent table an amuse bouche and after dinner a hot tea and small maple chews. Beautiful night / good friends – lovely little restaurant!
It was our pressed duckling which was just divine. The duckling was so tender and the sauce was beautifully rich. Each bite just melted in my mouth with bursts of Foie gras singing in my taste buds. The side dish of ultra-light pommes dauphine (crispy potato puffs made of mashed potatoes and savoury choux pastry) was so delightful. Food was superb and the service was very friendly, not at all snobbish. Chef Tali visited each table even though the restaurant was full (and on a weeknight!). This was one of the best meals we have ever had! A wonderful experience overall. wanderlustingmama.blogspot.com
Surprisingly delicious! The faade looks like the typical restaurants in the area, but the experience is quite different. Family owned. Country-style rustic decor. Very friendly and efficient service. Excellent food from start to finish.
Answer to Mr Rddevita. 95% of my customers are delighted with my sauces and ask for more bread not to leave at all. Since your message, I ask the question to my customers : There is too much sauce on the plate ? and the answer is no dont change anything, everything is perfect!Today, you try to tarnish my reputation on the Web (other reference sites). We see on this new message that you talk about police, did you have a problem with them. Is it why your stubbornness?Olivier Tali, Chef Saucier
Wow. Spot on. This is a master chef, and a great fine restaurant. Everything was great from the appetizers to desserts. You have to try it for yourself. Seriously, spot on. Great outdoor dining as well, except for the mosquitos.-Rough translation for French language speakers/Traduction approximative pour les locuteurs de la langue franaise-Sur place. Il s’agit d’un grand chef et un grand restaurant. Tout tait super dans les entres aux desserts. Vous devez l’essayer pour vous-mme. Srieusement, sur place. Grande salle manger en plein air ainsi, sauf pour les moustiques.
