  Tuesday Evening Dining. My wife and I dined at Vert Lime last night. Service was fine. They were friendly and willing to answer all of our questions concerning the restaurant and the menu. Only 3 tables were occupied so we were encouraged to choose our own. We ordered from the table dhaute choices composed for Groupon customers. There was a good selection including salmon, chicken, venison, liver, shrimp, lamb poutine…etc. I ordered a leek potage, the lamb poutine, venison with risotto and tarte a la noisette. The potage was delicious although it could have been warmer. There was nothing special about the presentation. The poutine was also quite tasty with an interesting mix of lamb, parmesan, sauce and fries. The fries were not up to frit stand standards but the portion size was perfect. A refreshing lime granit with crme de cassis followed. A very nice interlude.My venison was perfectly medium rare and very tender. Deciding on the risotto rather than the potatoes was an unfortunate mistake. I was curious to see how they would prepare the rice. There was a strong saffron flavor to the risotto which didnt blend well with the woodsy beast. The risotto could have been creamier.Desert was the hazelnut tart with what may have been homemade gelato and more crme de cassis. A perfect conclusion to a fine dining experience.Throughout the evening, servings were presented at our pace. I realize that there were few others to serve but it was nice. The waitress was pleasant and replenished our bread supply without being asked. My wife loved the food, the staff, the ambiance, everything and we will probably return to Vert Lime.

  Cuisine raffinee et originale Personnel sympatique et souriant…. Carte de vins exhaustive et suffisante. Une place agreable pour passer une tres bonne soiree !
