Good spot. Interesting specials, all well made. Nice staff, strong wifi. Sit and watch the street walk by while eating well. Creme of mushroom soup, rouleaux of Asperges and homard with a spicy mayo sauce, nice Bavette with Marchand de vin sauce. All nice. And Cidres en fut. winner.
Enjoyable, unassuming, and unpretentious. Laka has become one of my Montreal staples. The vibe is always laidback, the prices are more than adequate, the service is usually great, and the music is always on point. What I like best is the mixed crowd, from creative types, to students, to business people having a 5 7. Their breakfast is pretty stellar. And it’s a great place for a casual business meeting.
