Great atmosphere, food is authentic and savory. If you're not big on spicy, I'm not sure I'd recommend it. I don't feel there was enough on the menu f…

Had the Dino ribs for $28 and expected a good portion of food. What I got was 5 big bones with very little meat on them. Nothing special. Sweet potato fries were good however one of the servers took them away as he cleaned our table without even uttering a word or allowing me to tell him I wasn’t finished with them. In the end, I find this place way to overpriced and very small portions. Food quality is just okay and nothing to write home about. It’s too bad because I really wanted to like this place.
Like the vibe. Going to give a thumbs up because the ambience was really good especially for a Tuesday night. The service was very good and friendly. Everything came in a timely manner and hot. The food could do with a bit of work…shrimp was over cooked but the sauce was very tasty. The pecan pie for dessert (a suggestion from the waiter) was amazing. We were looking for a neighbourhood restaurant and this fit the bill.
Coconut shrimp was small and not special dipping sauce was out of a jar. Halibut was good but crap cake missed their mark by a country mile. Not a horrible meal but expensive we are in no rush to return.
😛 save your money.
Terrible Service. We arrived before 6:00 for dinner because the restaurant does not take reservations and is usually very busy. Despite the place being half-empty when we arrived (it filled up only later), the main course took an hour to arrive, while at least two tables who ordered after us were served first. When the meal finally did arrive, my vegetables were cold. The waitress and manager were apologetic, but came up with some lame excuses and neither offered us anything to make it up to us. I left a message the very next day to speak to another manager and emphasized on the message that I preferred to speak to someone at the restaurant before writing this review. To my amazement, no one even bothered to return my call. I feel very much taken for granted. I will not return.
Frozen vegetables took forever to arrive. I’ve been here a number of times over the past 10 years. The meat part of the meal is always good (crab cakes, steak, blackened or touff anything) but they always fall short on the sides – the rice is dry and oily, and the vegetables frozen before they’re overcooked. But the real letdown was the wait. It was interminable. The floor staff were great about this but we waited 60+ minutes for our food after arriving at 6pm well before the place filled up.They know they’re a one of a kind and it seems to make them a bit lazy.
Had the alligator entree which was good. Also had the shrimp magnolia which was ok. My partner had the shrimp creole. His vegetables didnt taste very good. Nice ambiance but get there early because it fills up quickly!
