Great food and excellent service! We had ordered the Silver Shiro cha-shu with extra eggs and spicy miso, Gold kome cha-shu with extra spicy miso and Mame miso deluxe. All the broths were very good and different from each other. Small hole in the wall kind of place. Would definitely recommend.

nice place to have ramen after visiting fine art museum. the portion is super big so no need to add any meat or toppings on. However, the smell of cooking smoke is kind of strong

Ambience and taste were great. Would definitely recommend adding the crispy fried onions. Broth was saltier than I like and got saltier as it cooled down. Served with a regular soup spoon instead of the large ladle spoon, making difficult to eat properly.

It’s hard finding a decent Japanese ramen place in Montreal. I think this place will scratch that itch. Flavorful and spicy(if you want it). Trust me they can make you cry(in a good way!)

If you’ve ever been to the ramen museum in Yokohama in Japan you will begin to understand the variety of styles and options with authentic Japanese ramen. Here in Montreal we are fortunate that as time goes on we are getting more and more authentic asian restaurants and Ramen Misoya is one example. When you arrive at the restaurant it doesn’t look like much, entering through stairs to a space in the basement. It is a humble space that is plain, but as you come in and see the kitchen staff working away, and smell the aroma of ramen broth having simmered for hours, you can’t help but salivate in anticipation of your meal. With a varied menu of different broths, and accompaniments to choose from, it can be intimidating for a first-timer but the staff are good about guiding you through your choices. When I am home, which seems rare these days, I like to pop over for a ramen fix on weekends. This time I had a Shiromiso Special ramen with added spicy miso. It is served with half of a soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, a block of fried soft tofu, bean sprouts and chashu pork. The broth was flavourful as always, with the added kick from the spicy miso. The noodles had a nice firm texture and was a great accompaniment to the broth. The chashu is not for the faint of heart, made with pork belly it isn’t the most lean piece of meat but is definitely a guilty pleasure. The egg itself was pre-made and a little on the cold side, but still tasty nonetheless.Overall it is a reliable choice for anytime I have a ramen craving while home in Montreal. If you want a reliable and authentic bowl of Japanese ramen, this is definitely a good choice. foodblog.cedrinlaw.com

So I’ve been told this restaurant was part of a Japanese chain so I went without expecting anything extraordinary or creative. I appreciated that we had many choices of broth; I tried 2 and they were delicious. However, the texture of the noodles was actually disappointing, like they were kept in the fridge too long and then just thrown into the soup. The topping were really good though.
