Such good meat!!! For the carnivores out there, you need to be here. Great flavour and great options. If I didn’t love BlackStrap BBQ so much, I would make this my BBQ joint of choice.
Much better than New System or St. Hubert. Good sized portions and the gravy is really nice (a bit cinammon-y). Prices are quite reasonable with great specials.
Have just recently started frequenting this place and I gotta say I feel like I have lucked out compared to the rest of the commenters. I have tried the Asian Sesame salad and the Lone Star sandwitch and was quite pleased with my meals on all 3 occasions.
Good customer until recent order…. Been ordering from them since the summer of last year. Their ribs were amazing (flesh falls out of the bone and melts) accompanied by taters and corn. Fast forward 5-6 months after and their quality dropped considerably. The meat is DRY!! I had a bone in the chicken sandwhiches they made. I could tell by sight that the coleslaw wasn’t fresh as well. Delivery was quick and staff is friendly but the food is the backbone of the business and we definitely aren’t ordering from here again.
Tasty sauce can’t hide dry meat. I had high hopes and gave Rotisserie Sud-West the chance to put their best foot forward. I mentioned when placing my order that I am a considerable foodie and was ordering for the first time, hoping for some delicious ribs. I figured I would set aside any misgivings about the inconsistent quality reported by so many others, and make my own opinion. My delivery order showed up lightning quick (20 minutes) and was very reasonably priced ($34 for a half rack pork rib and chicken leg combo, and three beef ribs). Note that I expected this amount of food to be more than generous enough for my dinner last night and my lunch today, which it was. The dark, smoky/spicy/sweet/sour barbecue sauce was delicious, and the ribs were smothered in it, but the pork somehow managed to be hard and dry enough to make a tearing sound as it came away, with difficulty, from the bone. The beef was more tender but full of congealed fat. I ate two pork ribs, one (enormous) beef rib, took two bites of the chicken and perhaps three fries before giving up on my appetite.I can’t judge the fries as condensation from delivery would ruin the tastiest taters. I did not try the cole slaw. The order came with three halves of Portuguese roll which I also discarded, because I am never a fan of this too-crusty bread. Can’t fault the restaurant for that. I so rarely leave a negative review. It pains me greatly to do so, especially for a promising spot right here in my home neighborhood, but it has to be done. I hope for improvements but doubt I will be back.
Office Christmas Dinner. We had BBQ chicken, we ordered for around 230 people. It was great, tasted great, wasnt dry and it was hot. Everything arrived ontime. Extremely satisfied.
Disappointing. A friend picked us up a couple of orders of beef ribs last night to eat at work. The sauce was great. But the ribs were dry and leathery. My ribs also seemed to be lacking in meat. My friend didn’t finish his.Not worth going back in my opinion. I’m a big bbq fan and was disappointed!
