Going downhill. I’ve been going to this restaurant since it opened and for the type of restaurant it is, I would have usually rated it at 4 stars. Now the downside. Went there with my family last night and I was not happy. Service was slow due to only one waitress. I could deal with that and cut her some slack but she forgot about our drinks and my son’s chicken sandwich and had to wait an extra 10 minutes for him to get his sandwich. Then the food. All the food had good taste and pretty consistent but the problem was the family chicken meal. Salad was as usual and no complaints there. Fries portion was same but the fries were cooked on the outside but we’re still close to raw on the inside. Obviously their oil is too hot. The real disappointment was the size of the chicken they served. It comes cut in pieces and when my son grabbed the drumstick and out it up to his mouth, I stopped him because I couldn’t believe how small it was. The family meal has increased in price to close to $10 more than when they first opened and I know things get more expensive but charging more and giving less is really the death knell for a restaurant. I wouldn’t mind the price increase if you give me consistency and value but giving patrons anorexic chickens ain’t gonna cut it for me. I won’t be back. I can’t be the only one who noticed this. Hope the owners wake up.
More or less correct. The food is delicious, we have always been happy, but it’s a family operation and not run professionally. The service is slow and unfriendly, the place could be cleaner, there is smoke in the air, and the delivery service was a disaster both times that we tried it. Get the best of what they have to offer – call in an order and pick it up.
Recurrent problems with delivery service. Delivery was scheduled for 6h00, as the time passed we realized that the food wasnt coming. We therefore called Gallo and waited 15 min to just speak to someone as they kept putting me on hold. Finally the waitress acknowledged there was a mistake in the order. 4 young children and 6 adults had been already waiting for a while. As I was trying to offer to pick up the food myself: the waitress told me to hold on the phone while I was still talking and never came back. She was unprofessional throughout the duration of the call. I never received my order and they had the audacity to charge my Visa
Bad waitres. When we arrived we aked for a diffrent table because the one they gave us was close to the door and it was very cold there were other tables to sit at the waitress refused us ,,we did have a resveration , the main course was given before our appitisers and at bill time they were very confused about adding up the biill because we asked to split the wine on two bills with our freinds , thankyou have a nice day
Try elsewhere. Not a pleasant experience, I aged at least a year due to the excessive BBQ smoke inside the restaurant- fire marshal- have you inspected the facilities recently? Also, the entry curtain is a serious hazard if there were an emergency evacuation of the building, cannot be legal. The food was unremarkable and the atmosphere nonreactive. Try somewhere else.
Great grilled meats. Discovered this place thanks to a teambuy coupon. Loved the food. Meats were grilled to perfection. The cod croquettes were also great. The only downside was the service. The restaurant was busy and we hardly saw our waitress. Had to flag them down a couple of times. Also the restaurant gets pretty smokey and hot from all the grilling – quite unpleasant to be coming home smelling like smoke!
