Awesome Bagels!. I am so happy to have discovered this bakery at the corner of Jean Talon and Lucerne! I love coming to this bakery early in the morning and seeing the bagels come fresh out of their wood-burning oven. I really don’t think that you can find bagels like this anywhere in Montreal. Their bagels are chewy, slighty sweet, and have this really crispy crust, very typical to the Montreal-style bagel. Even though I try to order soemthing different every time I visit, I always end up going for their classic sesame bagel with cream cheese. And I can never make it home with a full dozen!
Unquestionably the best.. Without the slightest hesitation, I can testify that Mount Royal Bagel makes the finest bagels out there. With an extra sweetness and unique secret touch to them, they outshine and win my heart over all other bagels. I enjoy their bagels religiously.
Too stressful for me. The bagels are VERY fresh and good!My stressful experience came from the fact that I had 2 coupons for a package that I bought on-line (groupon or Off therack, one of those sites).On both occaisions – 2 months appart, I almost felt like I was stealing the bagels from the place! I paid for my coupons!!! I’m not a thief! Please don’t stress me out!!Even though the bagels are good, I’m not sure I’ll be returning.
Bagel, Lox and Cream cheese. Mount Royal makes an incredible bagel lox and cream cheese! The bagel is so fresh, soft, chewy and sweet. The smoked salmon is thick and juicy, doesn’t have those brown spots or that fishy smell. And their cream cheese is homemade and creamy. Overall, may possibly be the best sandwich ever. I personally don’t like tomatoe and onion on it, but I think they do offer that.
Bagels!. This bakery has the best bagels in Montreal, seriously the only place I’ll eat bagels from. I find them much sweeter than the other Montreal bagels I’ve had. I’m there all the time stocking up on bagels or grabbing a nosh!
Excellent bagels. Just had my first Mount Royal Bakery bagel and it was delicious. I enjoyed the whole wheat as well as the everything bagel. Great spicey tuna as well. I have passed the store on Lucerne many times & finally stopped in. I’ll be back!
World’s best bagels. Okay, so everyone knows that Montreal is home to the best bagels. Mount Royal Bagel is home to Montreal’s best bagel, so virtually – the world’s best!! Not only are their bagels superb, they come in so many different varieties and they make tons of other unique bagel products. I love all of their other products, vegan soups, fresh salads, sandwiches, coffee,etc. They are strictly kosher which is great when I have an event I need catered for my kosher friends. They make gorgeous platterrs. It’s reasonable, I go for lunch on a regular basis and it’s never more than 10$. The staff are pleasant to deal with it and the food is consistently delicious.
