Fail!. Tried this restaurant a few times, the food is solid. However the lady (possibly owner) that serves you makes you feel as if she cant wait for you to leave and is doing you a favor by letting you eat at this restaurant. The cost is very high and to make matters worse they nickle and dime you over items that are given at no charge by restaurants that are priced considerably lower. Don’t dare ask to make any changes like half orders etc as long as this woman is serving you expect a dirty look and a no! You might be able to get away with it if you happen to be lucky enough to get a different server. Bottom line the service, cost & unnecessary penny pinching tactics given how expensive food is far out way the taste which is the only positive about this place.
Food is good but overpriced. They charge you $2.50 for extra tortilla chips that are free at all other Mexican restaurants. Service is absolutely horrible!! The women who is the owner treats you so badly you wonder how they stay open. The restaurant is always empty!! Maybe if they treated their customers a little better more people would return!!

No es fabuloso. La Hacienda gets points for location and coziness of the room but when it comes to food, the restaurant falls short. Everything is quite delicious but decidedly overpriced. Main dishes don’t even seem to come with sides. And don’t let the burritas fool you into thinking they will be huge stuffed tortillas overflowing with ingredients! You’ll enjoy your meal at La Hacienda but will be left hungry for more and hurting for cash. (Bonus points for the floss dispenser in the bathroom!)
Great potential but some irritations. I’ve been to La Hacienda three times, twice since becoming vegetarian. Each time, I was impressed with the freshness and taste of the food, but it always seemed too expensive: $10 for guacamole and plain nachos? $16 for two tortillas with a thin layer of cheese, some sauce, and a little pile of radishes, olives, lettuce, and sour cream on top? On both occasions since I stopped eating meat, the one interesting vegetarian option on the menu (chile relleno) was not available, so I had the burritos described above. A reliable menu and cheaper prices — or considerably larger servings — would lead me to return to this restaurant. But the last time, we went home and made pizza because we were still hungry and feeling a little broke.
Good yet pricey. We ordered a chorizo and cheese burrito and a chicken enchilada with salsa verde. It was delicious. The guacamole was fantastic, the tortillas fresh. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was still worth a try if you are wanting Mexican food in Outremont. It was pricey, especially since I’m from Atlanta, which has a huge Mexican population and many many Mexican restaurants so there is a lot of competition. But I felt that each dish was hand crafted just for us, so that made the bill a little easier to pay. Or maybe it was the drinks….The margaritas indeed had a salt rim, but here’s a tip; If you slide your lime to the side, it removes a portion of salt so you can drink it without getting salt overload. I thought they were excellent and drank 3 just to make sure I was right. 😉
Food was tasteless I shared chicken fajita &beef taco, both tasteless & ofcourse a margarita that was so salty it was like drinking the ocean Certainly not worth their prices
