Disappointed. I had been before for lunch and breakfast to Paltoquet. Wanted to treat myself on a cold Montreal day to lunch and now I will NEVER go back there. I had a frozen croque monsieur after waiting 30 minutes for it. When I said it was not just cold but frozen took another 10 minutes for the microwave. I paid – why did I pay! The cafe was freezing – don’t they pay their heating bill? The lady next to me ordered a crepe without ham and guess what the crepe came with ham. You can do much better at Madam Clafoutis, up the street or walk up to Bernard. Won’t be going back there anytime soon.

Happy Brunch :). This place is simple, unpretentious and delivers good food at really very reasonable prices! It was pretty busy, but the service was still attentive. The fresh squeezed orange juice was very good, and all the hype about the croissants is definitely not unfounded! Overall really nice; only thing, the crepes could be a little thinner.. but that could just be me being picky!Take some croissants for the road; the almond one is unbeatable!

    Sandwichs… et quelques gateaux dlicieux

Light fare, small portions, AMAZING croissants. Tourists, don’t leave town without eating here. The best croissants in North America, some would argue better than Paris.
