2018/10/01We had just arrived in Quebec City and we were looking for a place for a late-ish dinner between the airport and our hotel. We happened to come across Pacini. The decor seemed fresh and new; clean lines, relatively dark, with deep red booths and dark blue walls. The restaurant only had a few tables occupied when we arrived shortly before 9 pm. Even though it was a couple of minutes shy of 9 pm, we were able to order 2 Amazing pizzas for the price of 1 (after 9 pm). Our meal came with a trip to the bread bar, which was a bit of a disappointment. All they had left at this hour were a few slices of raisin bread that were a bit dry. We slathered some butter on them, which wasnt really enough to revive them. The two pizzas we ordered were Salsiccia e Portobellos, and Pesto and Goat Cheese. They were prepared as long oval flatbreads and not the more traditional round pizza style. We had planned to share the pizzas 50-50, but SWMBO noticed the black olives on the second pizza. It was written on the menu, but somehow we had missed it. SWMBO hates olives of any kind and any preparation, so I got to eat that pizza myself. Notwithstanding the olive issue, the pizzas were pretty good. Relatively thin and light crust, but strong enough to hold the toppings. They were served with a rolling pizza cutter, so you could slice whatever size you wanted. The pizzas took a bit longer to prepare than we had expected, especially since the restaurant was not that busy. Our server was pleasant and polite.
