Then we suggest you head for Matto after checking out their website (where you can see some cooking demonstrations from Chef to see if that helps you decide on your dish). Aim for the House Salad (Moms Salad) to start and we also recommend the Spaghetti Carbonara or Papardelle with Wild Mushrooms. twoguysfromnapa.com
The main pasta dishes that my wife and I enjoyed were unbelievable, redeeming what was otherwise a negative experience. The pre-meal bread was tasteless and blah. The appetizer was so-so. The waiter was inattentive. The service was slow. There were no menus in English, and the staff was unable to explain dishes in English (unusual for such a touristy area – we ate at the Hotel 71 location). But the main dishes were so good it made it all worth it.
