If you like bad service, cold food, and a manager who calls you a liar! rubes is the place for you!. Went to rube for a birthday, 4 people with 2 glasses of wine for a total of 195$ here is a resume of our fun evening. 1- both tables surrounding us received their meals before us even thought they arrived 25 mins after, on top of that they both ate ribs after my girlfriend was told the restaurant was out of ribs for the night. 2- our food took over 1 1/2 h to come, and when it did it was cold, undercooked and was slapped together, no butter, and surprisingly no steak knife to cut a 16oz steak ? 3-We decided to speak to the manager on our way out as we felt for 40$ a plate, the food should at least arrive warm and with the proper utensils to cut it. The manager would not hear a word of it and actually argued that he checked the plates and they were fine. He outright told us ”what do you want me to say? it’s Saturday. It’s busy” With an attitude like that I can guarantee it won’t remain busy for long.I would not recommend this place to anyone. Better off staying home than going to Rubes!
Disappointed. Second visit only confirmed first visit, mediocre food and service. Didn’t live up to the hype at all…will be no third cance.
There are certainly better places around. Carambola and Mon Village just to name two.
Ribs are smokey and authentic, but a little too expensive, better than anything in that area though.
Smokey ribs are good .
