Bad Business leaves a bad taste in your mouth.. When you start to disrespect the people who are loyal to you, you get what you deserve. I hope that through social media like this, Facebook, Twitter, Yelp and you name it that we send a strong message to these folks. A message they won’t soon forget.Just in case here is the post from which my outrage originates:************** BAD BUSINESS ************On Wednesdays, for more than 2 years our Networking Group Chateauguay Network Reseautage had a standing appointment with LEggs (corner Lauzon & St. Jean Baptiste) in their private meeting room-for breakfast meetings with local businesses. Our groups were anywhere from 10 to 25 people.We have supported them loyally, and brought a lot of new business for them. Yesterday Feb. 5th, we showed at 6:45 am ( as usual), and were stopped at the door from from our usual waitress Roxanne, and were told we couldnt hold out meeting there this morning., it was booked for somebody else.Donna: Youre kidding, right?Waitress: No, they will give us more business, they booked 2 days/week and you only have 1 dayDonna: Why didnt anyone notify us advance. Most of us have arrived. People came from Franklin center, Brossard, some crossed the Mercier bridge. We have a standing agreement. No one thought to call us in advance so we could reorganize ourselves?Waitress: Im a waitress, I dont have your telephone numbersDonna: The agreement was made with the owner, he has our contact informationWaitress: Thats not my problemDonna: Oh yes, it is your problem. We have an agreement, we have been loyal, never missed, cancelled or not shown up for any appointment. We were booked for today and we are all here. Some people do not have cell phones, and are on their way. We cannot contact them now. What time are the other people coming?Waitress: at 7:30Donna: You cannot do this, this is bad business…and utterly disrespectful. We are all local business people who have respected you, our agreement, supported you, and have brought you a lot of business. This is not right. What are you going to do about it, how will you accommodate us?Waitress: You can sit in the general area with the public.Donna: I want to talk to your manager or the ownerWaitress: Theyre not hereDonna: Get them on the phoneWaitress goes to call Lynda (the manager) and hands the phone to me. I explain everything all over again while more members arrive. Manager: I work Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. No one told me you come on Wednesday morning. Donna: You dont keep a record book of appointments?Manager: It doesnt matter, I booked them.Donna: Well we are all here now, and our meeting starts at 7am. Call back your other guests and tell them you made a mistake and cannot accommodate them for 7:30amManager: No I will not do thatDonna: What? Youre going to tell me that after 2 years of loyalty and business, you will not fix YOUR mistake and accommodate us?Manager: Its not a mistake I signed a contract with them, and we will accommodate them according to our contract.Donna: What???? You signed a contract, and didnt think to call us in advance to let us know so we could make alternate arrangements? You dishonour us, and toss us out just like that?Manager: They will give us more businessDonna: Again, I repeat, you will dishonour us, and didnt even have the decency to call us? Thats really bad businessManager: You can sit out with the general public.Donna: That will not work for us. We hold presentations, you are all aware of that. We use the wall or Screen, a projector, laptop etc etc. We need privacy., and that is not only unfair to your other customers, but unfair to us.Manager: Thats it, you can sit in the restaurant area.Donna: I cannot believe you people…. (hangs up)Donna to waitress: I want to talk to the owner, he needs to know how this is being handled, I dont think hes appreciate it very much (waitress calls the owner, and talks abt 1-2 mins and hangs up).Donna: I wanted to talk to the owner, whats his numberWaitress: He said this is the way it isDonna: I want to talk to him, whats his cell number?Waitress: He told me not to give it to you.Donna: What?? You have got to be kidding me!!! Oh, this is so bad business and people will know how your operate! When is he due back?Waitress: I dont know, and Im busy now (excusing us now of course)My partner Louise Garai was quick to find another place, and we ended up being accommodated in a private room by the Rail on rte 138/Kahnawake.Louise Garai said to waitress: I just made a sign to put on the window to redirect people to The Rail.Waitress: (Angry now) What does it say?Louise: If youre here for Chateauguay Network Reseautage breakfast meeting, it will not be held here…please go to The Rail Rte 138/KahnawakeWaitress: (Visibly irritated) I will tell them.Louise taped the sign to outside window. We go to the Rail. Louise realized she forgot something and goes back to LEggs. Our sign is ripped off the window. AND WE LATER FOUND OUT THAT PEOPLE SHOWED UP FOR OUR MEETING AND WERE NOT TOLD WHERE WE WERE. THEY WERE TOLD YOUR MEETINGS ARE NOT HERE ANYMORE, AND WERE TURNED AWAY.WE ALSO FOUND OUT THAT THE ROOM AT LEGGS WAS GIVEN TO ANOTHER NETWORKING GROUP WHO HAD NEVER EVEN USED LEGGS PRIOR. THEY ALWAYS USED LE CHATEAU IN CHATEAUGUAY MALL, BUT LE CHATEAU WENT BACKRUPT..SO THIS GROUP CHANGED THEIR VENUE TO LEGGS.Im sharing this message for those who may want to use their services. I caution you to make sure you have everything in writing. I for one will not support an establishment that offers bad business.Up side, we were accepted open arms from The Rail, food was actually better, less expensive, waitress Sherry-Lynn Troughton) was sweeter than pie, and the private meeting room was so much more professional and accommodating. We were all pleased with the outcome from what originally started off in a panic.

Im discusted how poorly your loyal customers have been treated and how you chose to handel the situation. Very unproffesional. Your food is over priced and under quality to top it off. We wont be eating here again.
Retired. I will not ever eat in your restaurant again for what was done to Chateauguay Network Reseautage ,and I will make sure everyone I know doesn’t go there too ! it was a disgrace , and for a business you should be embarrased
