Day 1 Diner. I’ve been a regular at this place since the first day they opened. And I’ve enjoyed their food throughout the years. Lately though, quality, portion sizes and prices have all hurt my impression of this place. I realize the cost of food is always increasing and restaurants have no choice but to pass it on to the customers, but when prices go up and portions and quality of food goes down, it makes for a disappointing experience.My favourite dish was the ‘Mixed Plate’ which used to be $9.99, but the price has gone up about $2 per year over the last 5 years, and now is over $20 with tax, but the portion hasn’t changed over the years. It’s still delicious and a good meal, but for the price it is now, I expect much more.The gyros have gone up about $2 more than they were a few years ago, but there is far less meat in the gyros than there used to be.Like I said, it’s still a good meal, and though the value has gone down, it’s still worth giving them a try, they are the best Greek in town still.18 Jun, 2012Try the Mixed Plate. The price may be a bit steep for a fast food restaurant, but if you want to try a bit of everything, then you want to try the Mixed Plate. Slices of chicken, beef, rice, greek salad, french fries, signature sauce Tzatziki sauce and pita bread. Enough to share or take home for a few meals afterwards. f00d.ca
Just ok. They always forget the hot sauce. The hot sauce is the best hot sauce I’ve ever had, but they always forget to put in my gyros.
Decent food. Very quick delivery, massive portions – although prices have jumped. I find the meat dry very often which is unfortunate because the flavor is there!
Very good food. This is one of the most awesome places I have ever been for food. I love the subs and poutines and for fast food it’s definately a good go to place. However.. they’ve really upgraded and while it all looks fantastic and clean and new , the prices are super high now and it’s no longer something I would call an affordable choice.
Gyro has been dry the last couple times but the rest keeps me and the kids coming back
Probably the most disgusting gyros I’ve ever had in my life! Huge portions but food is tasteless and their sauce lacks garlic.
Agree the Gyros are one of the best!
