I walked in and was greeted promptly, beautiful warm decor and lighting, despite the vast size of this restaurant, great atmosphere!I ordered the catch of the day with a lyonnaise sauce, it was undercooked and bland I would not recommend it,Thank god, for the fettuccini with tomato sauce and the perfectly grilled vegetablesthe wait staff was courteous and pleasant, last comment to be fair, guests around me had the filet mignon, others had mussels and fries combo, they seemed content.Fiasco for me personally this time, thankfully i’ve had more good experiences than not, at this location!

One of my favorites, especially for lunch!. After trying several dishes, the ITALIAN MUSSELS are by far my favorite. The white wine, tomato and garlic sauce is so tasty! And love the fact that it’s bring your own wine!

Great service – excellent food!. I have tried the Cannelloni, and other pastas and the mussels & fries. All delicious! The decor is very trendy, the jazzy music gives a great ambiance. The special from Sunday to Thursdays which gives you the choice of pastas or the Mussels and includes soup or salad makes it really affordable. You can bring your own wine!If it’s your birthday, you must ask for Alex. Not only is this waiter fast and efficient but he will also give you a pretty good show singing Happy Birthday!

I’ve been to this academie location a few times and each time I leave underwhelmed. While the service is quite good and the wait staff is friendly and welcoming, the food (I’ve ordered the mussels twice and the pasta primavera once) is rather bland. I could barely taste the garlic in the pasta and the veggies were very under seasoned. salt anyone? unfortunate , as the decor and ambiance is very esthetically pleasing. I might go back but I’ll be sure to stay away from the flavourless mussels and pasta.

Great expectations, great disappointment. My best friend and I ordered vegetable soup and prosciutto with melon as appetizers. They were good, except that the waiter was young and inexperienced and brought them out at different times. I waited until my soup was cold AND finished it before my friend’s prosciutto arrived. My best friend ordered their so-called famous mussels, but they weren’t properly cleaned. She kept crunching on grit that she could take out of her mouth and put on the plate. When she asked the waiter what it was, out of curiosity more than contempt, he didn’t know the answer, which was fine, but he never asked the kitchen/his superiors like he said he would and never got back to us. I ordered the duck confit with raspberry sauce, but the meat was extremely dry and the raspberry sauce was too sour and unbalanced in flavor. The vegetable side was simple and good, but not enough to make up for the duck. I don’t believe I’ll be returning and think it’s a shame Vinnie Gambini’s (the previous restaurant in that location) was replaced by such a below par and inappropriately priced restaurant.

The food here was absolutely disgusting, which I feel sad to say because the restaurant looks so nice and the service was really good.
