Arrived here with my wife on Valentine’s Day 2019 for a 7:30pm reservation. Sat down and the first question the waiter asked me was how I was paying. A strange question to ask someone before ordering but I answered cash. After 25 minutes my order was placed officially according to our manager Eric(more on that later). We had our entree served around 20 minutes later. At around 9pm our main course never arrived and we witnessed two tables leave due to the main courses not arriving. We were unable to stay any longer as being there for 1.5h without a main course at an all you can eat restaurant is just plain unacceptable. So we decided to leave and asked to be charged for just what we ate. Our soups, shrimp toast, salad, peanut dumplings and a beer. We asked the waiter for the bill and he came back with the full amount 95$. I then told him this was unacceptable and offered him half the bill as there was no service performed. Plus they never even came once to remove the dishes on our table the entire time we were there. Eric the manager refused this offer and demanded we pay the full amount and that if we didn’t he would call the cops. I told him this was completely unacceptable and then he threatened to take my license down and chase me down. Talk about customer service here. At 9:30 he brought me my food in a take out bag and out of shear disappointment I paid the full amount. Please stay away from this shameful restaurant and what a true horrible experience for my wife and I to experience on Valentine’s Day.
We went as a last minute group of 4 and were seated right away. The service was fantastic! The variety of food was good considering it’s AYCE. Quantities are large and filling so they aren’t cheap like other AYCE places. The hunan dumplings in peanut sauce, Szechuan shrimps, crispy green beans, crispy fried beef, crispy chicken strips and satay chicken skewers were all delicious. Would go again if in the area!
Been coming here forever , and it never disappoints. They have a huge all you can eat menu with so much to choose from. They also deliver so when your not so hungry for all you can eat but want just a couple of things, it comes quick and always delicious.
I like your restaurant very much. I have two suggestions1- Please provide Wi Fi, every restaurant has it, you are one of the few that doesn’t yet2- Accept debit card
LaPerle Restaurant has been a staple of Sichuan and Thai cuisine in the West Islandsince 1990. In its heyday the line ups to get in for a meal at La Perle were long, but once inside you were guaranteedand served the best all you can eat Asian food on this side of Montreal. For 29.95 (except Saturday $ 30.95) you have achoice of 115 dishes and you can order all of them if you wish. The menucontains many of the all time favorites and more. We ordered as much as wecould for her to savour. She is by far the perpetual Asian food lover. She wasnot disappointed and is quite used to all this all you can eat type of venue. But in all honesty, we did not get to finish lots of the dishes. No qualms bythe staff. Our waiter did not make any comments and was pleased to serve us,even if he knew we were over ordering.Allin all the experience was good. I asked myself why we had not been here more oftenover the years. Note:You can order a la carte as well and they also have take-out and deliveryservice if you wish.Ata time in West Island when many of the Chinese restaurants have closed, LaPerle is still a gem in an ocean of businesses that has stood the test of time. montrealfoofoodie.com
This is the best Chinese restaurant we have here in the Montreal area. It also, has the tasting menu, which we wanted to do. The plates they brought out to us had so much food, we were stuffed to the brim. I loved the dumplings!!
The best all you can eat Chinese restaurant. Every dish is just so tasty and fresh. It’s clean, good staff and incredible food. It’s a bit pricey (around $30 a person) but for all you can eat… I’m not complaining.
