Les 3 Maria Portuguese Grillades located on Sources Boulevard standsalone in this neck of the woods when it comes to serving authentic Portuguese food. It is the one and only Portuguese restaurantin the West Island that brings you a sample of the authentic flavors ofPortugal with its grilled chicken, grilled fish, chouricio sausages and otherclassics. The restaurant may be small and unpretentious, as its original intentwas suppose to be a take-out counter; but in the last couple of years it hasevolved into a full service restaurant with a liquor permit.Les 3 Maria has been newly decorated in a modern theme that is pleasing on the eye with its white walls, simple wall art ofpictures of Portugal, dark wood floors and ample lighting. It is the epitome of clean. montrealfoofoodie.com
My family all really enjoyed it. Definitely a good alternative. The salad was very average in my opinion, good but not worth it. The rice and chicken on the other hand were delicious! A full chicken was maybe a little much for 3 of us but I enjoyed the leftovers. I’ll definitely consider going back in the future.
I was really excited to have a Portuguese restaurant so close to my house but….. The staff were fantastic and the food was really good. Then, I went to the washroom and it was filthy!!! This made me very sad because otherwise I was very happy with the service, the food and the price. Unfortunately, had I used the washroom before I ate I most likely would not have stayed. For this reason I will not go back. However, If you are not put off by the dirty washroom by all means go you won’t be disappointed
Good. I have been there twice for takeout; It was great the first time; chicken was moist and spicy, fries where hot and fresh and tasty! The second time was terrible! I called in the order was told 15-20 minutes… get there: interact machine not working, drive to get some cash and still had to wait 15 minutes for the food to be ready! get home all of 2 minutes after, realised that the chicken was recooked, it was dry and bland!the fries where cold, the calamari and chorizo where overcooked it must of been a bad day!I still rate it as good!
Portugal comes to the West island.. I love Portuguese style chicken, but haven’t found it in Montreal, apart from a few hole in the wall places. To my happy surprise, a great place opened up on Sources, close to my home. Les 3 Maria is small, but very clean and bright. The (overworked) owner greets you at the cash and the sweet and very efficient waitress seats you. The menu isn’t overly large, but what they do, they do very well. The chicken is moist, full of flavour and spiced just right. It (and the rest of the menu) are cooked on a charcoal grill and tastes fantastic! I try to come on weekends when they serve my favorite, the ribs and chicken. The waitresses, by the way, are fast, friendly, and seem to really care that your meal is perfect. I should mention the prices. They’re low. I don’t think I’ve ever said this, but I don’t know how they can charge so little…not that I’m complaining. This restaurant is one of the great dining surprises of the West Island. My wife and I are big fans.Taste is subjective, I know. I can assure you, though, the patrons seem very happy, and I am one of them.
