The mckibbin’s Irish pub is a very nice pub. This place has completely fulfilled our expectations. The atmosphere is nice and the decoration completely fit to the area. The food is good quality. The prices are slightly too high. Happy Hour is appreciated.

McKibbons in West Island used to be such a fun place to go to over the years. The latest was a disappointment. Aside iy being ideal place for games with many TV screens to watch. The food is not very good. Even the nachos are dry and flavorless, If you must go, have drinks only. montrealfoofoodie.com

Better beer selection than your average pub, but not the best. Service was friendly and pretty quick, we were a group of 12. Food was quite delicious…had the spicy cheese sticks because I was just too starving to wait for the meal to come and they were surprisingly amazing. Not too greasy, in fact they almost tasted healthy, and came with a spicy mayo. Had the Steak Sandwich as a main and it was very good. The fries were not so great, kinda limp and soggy for my taste…but overall the plate was lackluster. My sandwich was very small (although not expensive at $13) and the amount of fries on my plate was laughable…might try something different next time.

Very disappointing. Will not be returning here anymore. Here’s why…. Recently I went to MMcKibbin’s Irish Pub. Truthfully I’m not a picky eater nor someone who often complaints. Yet, our lunch that we had was horrible. May sound harsh, but it was simply horrible. Yes, the service was good and our waitress was kind and polite.. But not more than that. We went on a Friday, and it was also a clear sign that they were short staffed. An Irish Pub on a Friday short staff.. Not at all a good impression. Keep in mind this location recently had a shooting during a fight on a weekend night. We had ordered fish and chips(We were told that’s their specialty) and a French onion soup. The French onion soup tasted like salty thick water with colour. The bread which the soup should have, was not toasted, therefore it was a soggy old tasting piece of bread. The onions were not fully cooked, therefore they tasted crunchy. The cheese was a lump, not beautifully melted as it should be. The Fish and chips, were incredibly greasy. Yes, I know it’s fried food. The level of greasiness was simply absurd. It absorbed through the paper and dripped a bit from the one piece of fish. Yes, just one piece. The batter on the fish was slipping off each time it was cut, to only realize how much grease there was in this dish. The fries were Ok, if you like fries that taste as if they were warmed up and ,not freshly made. Luckily our waitress never asked us how our food was, nor if we needed anything else. Otherwise, I would have shared these exact comments to her. I know it’s not her fault. But, if a simple bowl of soup can’t be well prepared and your specialty was disappointing as well. I think it gives me a good reason not to return. Again. Very disappointing.

What happened?. Just got back from our second night. Decide to invite another friend to join us. I had the shepherds pie and so did he. First off I had to get up and go to bar to get salt and pepper and ask for glass of water. Our waitress seemed too busy having social chats with other staff members. My shepherds pie was watery under mashed potatoes and tasteless. My friend said the same thing. Main course let down. They seemed very attentive in removing dishes and glasses from our table but no interest in catering to our needs. Waitress was all smiles when it came to paying the bill. Not a great server experience. Oh the bizon burger…Dave had it…hurl factor of 5.8.

The Irish Way. If you like trying beers from different places i recommend Mckibbins, they have a wide range of beers. They have also some good appetizers and food to munch on whether your there to listen to a band or chill and watch a hockey game. The nachos and burgers are highly recommeneded

Best fish and chips. I’ve tried the Fish and Chips at Irish Embassy, Ye Olde Orchard, Hurley’s and a number of other places. Mckibbins west island has the best fish and chips HANDS DOWN!!!!! The bison burgers are pretty damn good too.
