I like it this time at this new location ! This time the marcaroons are fresh, and my favorite flavors are by this order: cafe, rose water, lavender, and chocolate with white chocolate filling. The ones that are plain tasting are strawberry and salted caramel. I love their lavender tea also!! Nice deco with elegant taste!!! Will come back if the marcaroons remain fresh and tasty like this!

Dissapointed. Unfortunately the macarons here were very dissapointing. I’m not sure if the people praising these macarons are friends of the owners or just haven’t tasted some really good french macarons, but these ones are far from good. The flavours are just very poor quality…some of them simply don’t taste like the flavour they are named and even when they do they just taste cheap. The texture is pretty good, but the flavours are just soooo bad, I can’t get over it and the fact that the texture is alright is completely negated by the poor flavour. I suspect they just use poor quality artificial flavourings, instead of either actual real food or better quality flavourings. One the flavours I tried ( that is normally my favourite at other places in Montreal) actually tasted bad……
One of my favorite sweet treats. I love this place it is like something out of the side streets in Paris. The macaroons are heavenly. We were able to try their specialty flavours with fresh raspberries and blueberries and they were the most delectable treat i have had in a long time. I also loved the Turkish Delight. So nice with a cup of tea! What a wonderful addition to the Old Village in Point Claire. I can’t wait to go back again soon.
What a find!. I came across their store soon after it opened, and went in, curious. I’d never heard of macarons before, and I was really impressed with them. They explained what they’re and how they’re made, and got me to taste a few samples. I was in heaven. So fresh, chewy and crispy. I’ve since noticed macarons a lot more in public markets and other stores, and got to try some from different providers, but none come close to Rumeur’s. That’s why I keep going back.
I had high hopes for these macarons. The photos on the window looked beautiful. The first clue they wouldn’t taste fresh was the fact that they were not refrigerated. When I took a bite, the consistency, and texture of the shells were stale, and crunchy. The best macarons I have had were like little heavenly clouds. The fillings lacked flavor. They all tasted kind of the same. Rumeur did not impress me, sadly.
