Blandest indian food.. I was very excited to try this place, and from the moment I opened the menu I was a bit urked. Prices were high for indian food, there was no thali option and you had to choose between rice or naan. Everything I tried from my group of 5 was very bland, I personally like spicey food, but even for those who dont enjoy spice everything lacked that slow cooked taste and rich beautiful spices. I have had better samosas at 88 pizza than here, they tasted like ones you get frozen at the grocery store, mushy potatoes small and unappetizing exterior. So sad they are trying to pass this off as indian food. Save your money and go to sahib or pushap in the west island, or probably anywhere in the city would be better than this.
Went about two weeks ago, ordered the chicken Korma, boyfriend ordered the chicken Madraas. Prompt service, attentive waiter, really, really good food. HUGE naan bread served with my dish, but for two people it was perfect. Will definitely go back!
Best date restaurant and location. Located right across the water, they can open the windows in the summer and you have a full view of the water. Food and ambiance is amazing and dont forget to try the mango lassi (drink) and Indian Ice cream (kulfi, pistachio and mango flavours). Other than the store bought veg samosas, the house food is worth the price.I go there about 1ce per month and will continue (especially in the summer).
Satiated Indian craving.. I’ll start off with that the ambiance of this place is great. It’s relaxed and charming, with fun music in the background. As soon as we were seated, we were given a basket of rolled papadums to snack on, much like you are typically given bread at an italian restaurant. I ordered the tandoori sizzler consisting of chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, and kebab chicken, served over a bed of vegetables. The presentation of the dish was very appetizing, and it was still sizzling when it came to the table. The tandoori and chicken tikka were great, but the kebab chicken reminded me of breakfast sausage (doesn’t taste bad, just unexpected). The waitstaff is quick and attentive, and the prices aren’t too bad. This girl will be back.
Very disappointed. Asked for very spicy. Butter chicken was very mild and beef curry was a little spicy. Too much coriander in dishes. Food just ok. Will not go back. We do NOT recommend this restaurant. Heard restaurant Gaj in Vaudreuil very good. We’ll try that one next.
Everything done in house is wonderful, avoid the store bought somosas.
Ate there twice… First time was nice, it was when it first opened and I found it friendly, good ambiance and the food was good. I find they do however make their purportedly hot dished way too mild even after specifically telling them you want it hot. The second time I had take out and ordered two dishes, Madras Chicken and Vegetable Biryani and I found both dishes but especially the Madras to be WAY too salty, I almost called to let them know but never got around to it. I will give it another shot because I love Indian food and it is the closest to where I live..
