Beautiful restaurant, great food.. Firstly, I must say that the ambiance was incredible, with beautiful chandeliers, sleek white couches, and perfectly bright lighting. The music was urban, upbeat and fun, but not too loud. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, and the serving of each part of the meal was well timed-we did not have a very long wait, but by the time the main course arrived, we were able to digest the appetizers! Ok now the FOOD itself: Very delicious. I ordered Duck Breast with Mashed Potatoes as my main course. It was very rich and savoury, the portions were decent filling, but not overwhelmingly huge. We got calamari for an appetizer, which was also very fresh and flavourful. For dessert, we had creme brulee, which was tasty and rich, but not too heavy. Overall, I had a great dining experience.
Worst dining experience ever!!. A girlfriend and I were at your restaurant last night. The ambiance was very nice, food was ok but the service was terrible.I wanted to talk to the manager about it but it was never a good time because the waiter who served us was always too close and I did not feel right about making a scene.First of all, we ordered martinis which took over 20 minutes to get. We had to ask for water and bread. Then we ordered our food which included two salad as appetizers and I order the fish special and my friend ordered the salmon tartar. The waiter came back with one salad for me and the salmon tartar for my friend. My friend and I looked at each other in confusion. I told the waiter that we both ordered salads as appetizers and he insisted that we only ordered one salad and the salmon tartar. I told him he was wrong since both my friend and I both agreed that we did order what we said we did. He kept insisting. That was definitely poor customer service on his part. I also had to remind him that usually the customer is always right. So here I am eating my salad while my friend was eating her main course. He then decided to bring her salad along with her main course while Im still eating my salad. My main course only game 20 minutes later. It was the weirdest and poorest restaurant experience ever.I do not normally complain but I really felt that you should be aware of this. I am not sure if I would go back to Town Hall in the near future.
Delicious restaurant with tons of options for everyone to eat! Food can be a little pricy but it also depends on what you order. I have had several dishes from here such as Braised Beef, the Beef Ribs, Pizzas, Seafood pasta which is a must! It really depends on your taste as the menu has options for everyone to try
A cheap and very deceitful resto. After diner, my family and I decided to go here for dessert and a few drinks on Saturday. What a mistake that was…First off, we were being served by a waiter who just started there, so we patient with him…I had ordered a Johnny Walker Black on the rocks, and to my surprise I was brought a Johnny Walker Black with coke!So the waiter sent it back, and he brought me another Johnny Black (supposedly) on the rocks.Im not a scotch/whiskey expert, but I know what a Johnny Walker Black is supposed to taste and look like. The color was lighter than it should, more sour and it honestly tasted like a Johnny Walker Red Label!!!!!!And why didnt I send it back?? Well I didnt want my order coming back a third time, and have some kind of a surprise in my drink…So I drank it, and reserved my comment till the end of the evening, just the let the waiter know that is not what I had ordered and I drank it regardless. So at the end of the night we got the bill and yet a another surprise. My brother had ordered a few Chivas on the rocks, assuming it was the 12 yr old scotch. What he was charged, was the 18 yr old scotch (the more expensive one)…without even being asked!!Why would you do that, without even inquiring???And so you know, we were polite about the whole thing, but made it aware of what theyve done to customers who came here often…Im not sure how their staff are trained and how Towne Hall can swindle their customers like that, but people need to be made aware of how this place is taking advantage of people.I can honestly say we will never go back here, and we will make sure to spread the word on how they treat their customers and of our experience.I am quite surprised this place is still in business.Avoid it or not, your choice
Adding to my previous review, Jenn, the hostess, is possibly the most professional and pleasant hostess I have ever had the good fortune of meeting14 May, 2013Fantastic food, beautiful atmosphere. Waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and sweet, and the hostess was awesome as all hell. 🙂 will definitely go back 🙂
Disappointing. I had heard good things about this place, but unfortunetly it did not live up to the hype. The service was good and the place is nice but the food is really nothing special. My fish was overcooked and sold as a rock, not light and flaky as it should have been. The lobster ravioli comes with an average tomato sauce that is so overpowering you cannot even taste the lobster in the dish. All in all, a disappointing experience. I don’t think i’ll ever be going back to Towne Hall.
Good bet for lunch. One of the best ‘lunch menu’s’ on the west island, full 3 courses with coffee/tea.Homemade bread & pizza’s along with unique menu selections. The meals are varied & thoughtfully assembled. The staff is eager to please and a really nice place. To bad they don’t open on Sunday’s !
