Violet Angel, which opened in the midst of winter in January 2012 on Ste Anne de Bellevue boardwalk is not only the perfect place to have pizza in the summer but also a good bet in winter, With their Italian comfort food anytime would be heartwarming. Considered pizza artisanale it does its pizza quite well. Summer on the terrace when the sun goes down on a warm summer night is optimal and a must . The mood and atmosphere is magical with the canal and locks as a backdrop. You feel like you are outside Montreal and on vacation. This evening we had their Pizzangelic Pizza with a Salute Salad with a half bottle of Vivolo di Sasso Wine shared by two, , The pizza came topped with asparagus , goat cheese ,kalamata olives, bocconcini and grilled oyster mushrooms. The pizza was of good quality all ingredients were very fresh and very tasty. The dough was perfect. not too thin and not to generic. . Our salad was generous and also contained lots of seasonal asparagus of the best quality. Our wine a robust red complimented the meal perfectly. The service was friendly and fast. Great atmosphere and food. The sesame chicken pasta is amazing! All their plates are artesian and worth trying. The staff is attentive and friendly and the location is key!! Perfect for a first date 🙂
Delicious food.
Not so great. Slow service, always hunting for the server.Too much garlic, everything tastes like garlic.White wine list is terrible, the wine prices way to high for the lousy selection.$85.00 for a pizza, bowl of pasta and 3 glasses of house wine, a bit too pricey for me.
Went to eat with my wife and kids, and I must say, WOW. Instant new go to place in the west-island, solid spot! The bruscetta was delicious in appetizer, and the pizzas were phenomenal. Pepperoni for the little ones, the beets/goat cheese for my wife and the jerk chicken for myself. They were all delicious although I have to say the jerk chicken one is a revelation!!! It’s a pizza epiphany! Little pricey but the quality is oustanding and everything is made onsite… As fresh as I gets! Would definitely recommend, nice patio by the water and puts to shame some of the restaurants in the area. keep up the good work!!
