3 of us dined here. Firstly we waited 15 minutes to receieve menus. It took another 15 to get a bottle of wine. When we finally ordered we chose: fried calamari, tuna steak, salmon and shrimp, and lamb osso bucco. The calamari was under cooked and served with a watery tomatoe sauce. The salmon and shrimp were very overcooked. The tuna was drenched in tomatoes and parsley overpowering the beautiful fish. The accompagnements: vegetables were plain flash steamed broccoli, cauliflower and slivered carrots and the side potatoes were diced and fries without a hint of salt or seasoning. Now for the osso bucco, the lamb was overcooked but what was the most awful was the soggy rice that was served with it. It was suppose to be rissotto. When the waitress can go ask how everything was i only mentioned that the rissotto hadnt been prepared properly it was soggy rice in broth held not creamy consistency as it should. The owner came to me and did not even bother taking a closer look at the rissotto just kept shovinisitcally saying he had the best chef in mtl and that i didn’t know rissotto. Over a 5 minute conversation he did not address my disatisfaction or apologize in any way but rather bosted that his restaurant was the oldest and best in town. His poor customer service skills and blind trust in his chef were appaling. Needless to say we will never be returning.
