Hearty breakfasts. Linda’s makes quality breakfasts for the gourmand, at an extremely reasonable price. The service is excellent, though sometimes they are so packed that you do have to wait a bit to order once they’ve seated you. The last time that happened, the owner herself came out and got us our coffees, making sure everything else was to our liking. This is a great place to go if you are a large family or group of people and don’t want to break the bank. I really like their hashbrown potatoes, which too often go uneaten on my breakfast plate, and they serve a mean beans and lard. Consider this an above average breakfast for a below average price.

Great service! Great food! Excellent atmosphere! I came from out of town with two friends. We got there at 7pm on a Saturday night with no reservation. We were told it would be a bit of a wait… No problem. As we waited, wait staff attended to us on several occasions, letting us know that a table had just been billed, it shouldn’t be too long, etc. When we sat down, we were given some (what looked to be) homemade bread to snack on before we order. I ordered a penne in a gorgonzola cream sauce with brandied caramelized pear and baked capicola. It was to die for. I paired this with the house wine – $25 for a litre. For desert, my friends and I shared a piece of succulent chocolate cake and I paired that with a serving of port. De-licious. My friends had the tortellini with a ros sauce and italian sausage (also excellent) and the spaghetti con pelotte (spaghetti and meatballs) which was very tasty. We were offered a serving of desert wine, on the house. I will definitely be back and would recommend this place to everyone. Three plates, a litre of wine, a piece of chocolate cake, a serving of port and a cappucino came out to $108, an excellent price for the quality of food and service.

Great Italian Restaurant In Verdun. At Cucina Linda you’ll find high end authentic Italian-American cuisine, a cozy and inviting atmosphere, friendly service, generous portions and affordable prices. The place seemed to be busy with locals but I feel it deserves some more recognition. The menu is pretty large. They also have quite an extensive wine list. Offering all sorts of soups and salads, pizza, pasta, Veal, Chicken, Fish/Seafood, Steaks etc..I haven’t yet found any news paper reviews or blog posts on Cucina Linda. The place is not fancy just simple good cooking. Seriously, for what we had the price was quite easy on the pocket. We ordered: Mista Salad, Minestrone Soup.Veal Picatta W/ (Penne Arrabiata) Veal Pizzaiola W/ (Spagheti bolognese) Two Diet cokes $54.

Hit and miss…. My husband had the tortellini and it was very good. However, I ordered a mixed salad and pizza. The mixed salad was heavily drenched in italian dressing which was very sour and salty. I ordered a pizza with proscuitto. The proscuitto was cut SO THICK I couldn’t pick up the slice of pizza and bite into it – had to use a steak knife to tear through it!! This overall made the pizza very salty and unedible. The owner was very understanding about it and allowed me to order something else on the house. Had the creme caramel for dessert and it was delicious! BTW – the house bread here is very tasty – nicely herbed and a spongy quality to it.

Pasta cooked to perfection and their Marinara sauce is amazing. Ask for their home made anti pasto chili sauce.

Poor sauces and the pasta tasted burnt I had to return my plate 3 time.
