I would say enjoyable experience, good food, good scenery. Staff was a bit slow but not bothersome. Grilled octopus was tender and delicious, my shrimp salad was incredibly fresh. Great wine selection, decent cocktails. Will be back when I am back in the area!
Big shiny new restaurant on the waterfront. Huge summer terrasse. Friendly service. Classic cocktails and a long winelist. Classic bistro type food. Great for a group/family brunch or dinner.
The Nun’s Island Burger for Burger Week showedcreativity with the use of the skate (a ray fish) and the shake on the side, which added sweetness to the otherwise sharp flavours. We really enjoyed the bun, although the pungent fennel seeds didn’t necessarily marry well with the rest. Not your everyday burger. 514eats.com
Les enfants on the menu are NOT the ONLY terrible things at this place… Walked in this restaurant on a saturday with two friends after hearing a few good things about it, it turned out to be quite a disappointment. Brunch menu were served during the day on weekends, and we had to wait almost an hour for the food to come out after ordering and the restaurant wasn’t even half full. I get that ppl usually dont have to get to work right after on a saturday, but having to wait that long to get your sunny-sideup eggs and fried potatoes, come on now?! If the food was decent, one definitely dont mind the waiting. However, it was not the case. I ordered gaufre & poulet frit for 15$, (fried chicken on waffle) and I received four tiny pieces of chicken nuggets placed strategically on four fives thin waffle slices. ( two out of those four could at best be called chicken strips). I dont get it, when you call your item fried chicken, and you serve frozen nuggets and charge triple the price than a fried chicken place, I could only imagine that your pricing on your food must be majorly based on the magnificent river view from your window…Seriously, had much better fried chicken experience at Costco for 5$. You can have the funkiest decor and the trendiest music going on, but if your food dont deliver, you wont have any more guests coming and appreciate your nice ambiance anymore..
Waited over an hour for brunch for 4. Orders were badly managed.
I really liked it and it’s right by the water I would go back especially if they have a terrace in the summer
User reviews. Poshest place on Nuns Island and possibly the best food as well. Their Shepards Pie was excellent. MB rating 8.
