This place has some strong points and some very weak ones. For starters, don’t trust the online ordering system they have on their site. It sucks, and it will give you a misleading confirmation call only for you to wait 2 hours before realizing your food is never coming. So this restaurant has a terrible third-party ordering service. Also, don’t plan a night at their location as there isn’t much to see. This restaurant is the definition of sparse and the bulk of their business is take-out and delivery. Also be very specific with whatever you’re ordering and get them to repeat it and be extremely clear…I’ve only eaten from there 4 times but out of those 4 times twice have they gotten my order wrong. I also asked basic questions (like is your calamari breadded/battered?) that weren’t answered correctly.There are some great vegetarian options (like the general tao tofu) and their sweet and sour soup game is pretty decent. The sushi is B-level, but for Verdun that means very good. For all its faults (and the fact that the restaurant has random blackouts where they don’t pick up the fricking phone when you want to place an order) This restaurant stands head and shoulders above all of the other ‘asian fusion/chinese’ style restaurants on the Wellington strip. Very good value for your meal, when they get it right.
WORST CHINESE FOOD EXPERIENCE EVER!. I ordered From Maison Luo for the first and very last time. The pekinese hot and sour soup was absolutely disgusting, couldn’t swallow more than 1 spoon. Ordered BBQ pork chops and got fried and extremely greasy pork instead,just little pieces of meat and big chunks of fat (gag). Also, I ordered a plate of vegetables and got rice instead. I called the restaurant and told them about the mistakes they made. They explained that because they didn’t have any bbq pork chops they decided to give me something else, and they did send the vegetables plate which is good, but they asked to get the rice back. I found that very disturbing. ( What would they do with a half-eaten plate of rice?) Anyhow, If you want to waste you money, feel gross/sick after eating, this is the restaurant you need to order from.
Mixed. The reviews were encouraging but it was disapponting! The food is reasonably priced and definitely not bad but this is not the place for a relaxed dinner with your wife or girlfriend. Ambiance = zero! Find something else

This is the only place I enjoy Chinese food. I have been here many times over the past couple years and the service has been consistently great! sometimes they get very busy with an abundance of take out orders but the lady who always serves us has never once made a mistake on our order (obnoxious substitutions ad all), is very amicable and professional, and the food is consistently fantastic. highly recommended
