O Cantinho est la place de poulet portugais St-Michel. Beaucoup de travailleurs, gens du coin et famille aiment manger cet endroit. Je dois avouer que leur poulet est super tendre et c’est dlicieux avec la sauce piri piri crmeuse. Par contre, les autres plats ont des cuissons ingales. Par exemple, les calmars taient pas assez cuit d’autres trop. Les palourdes sont bonnes, mais beaucoup trop sales. Par contre, ils font une bonne cuisson de la pieuvre. Bref, tenez vous au poulet c’est une valeur sre.On y va pour:-le poulet grill -les assiettes gnreuses
I am used to go the Cantinho express, there I give it 4,5 stars, here, only 1.5, and it is because you can use takeaway food.First time I had no service at all and tipped accordingly, we were ignored for at least 18 minutes according to my phone (Time I started checking) and kept having the sun in my face because no blinds are in place. Food was lukewarm because it took long to arrive. It also took long for someone to ask for our order. Had to wait to pay too. The only thing that did not take much time is me escaping the restaurant. Portion size disappointing for the price.Second time they had no chicken available, had to come back another time (During Ramadan)Third time they told me to call in advance when I plan to buy a whole chicken for takeout.There were no forth time since then.I would avoid at all costs, the 1.5 is for the good quality of chicken when you can get it. Go to Cantinho Express instead
Pretty good Portuguese place. Wasn’t sure what to expect and I’m not often in this area, but came with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and authenticity of their food. Had an appetizer that was breaded fried shrimp, forget the name. Was good but wouldn’t order again because of its simplicity. Our main dish was the huge sharing plate of pork, chorizo, chicken and ribs. Everything on that plate was fantastic, especially the ribs. Definitely a must try if you like Portuguese food and you live in this area.
Very good chicken
For a thursday night this place was packed! We were standing at the entrance waiting to be seated for 20 minutes even though there was available tables. No one greeted us and we were even being pushed around by employees running by us and so it made a horrible first impression. When we were finally seated we were brought some water and bread but no olives like all the other tables received; when I asked for some the waiter blamed it on the bus boy. We finally ordered and received our food which was good but nothing spectacular. We had the grilled octopus, as well as the chicken which comes with fries and salad on the side. The waiter didnt write down our orders, he just memorized them and kept making sure that was what we ordered when he brought the food to our table, which I found extremely annoying and unprofessional. The service was very mediocre, but the ambience was everything you would expect from a quaint Portuguese restaurant. Overall it was a good experience, with good food but the service needs to be improved dramatically as other reviews have mentioned.
