Very sad that I have to give such an awful review to one of my formerly favourite spots for rotisserie chicken. I regularly order delivery from Sparta and am (was…) a regular patron at the restaurant. The last time I ordered delivery, my order did not arrive for more than 2 hours. This would not normally be a deal breaker but instead of receiving an apology for the stone cold food, I was confronted by a hostile driver who seemed offended that I expressed disappointment in the service. Naturally, I was not inclined to give a tip for such rude service despite having tipped generously on all of my other orders. Totally forgot about this (in my mind) minor incident until I was just told -after recently calling for delivery- that they will no longer deliver to my address. Apparently, this is some sort of retribution for not giving them a tip on a single delivery. Very unprofessional and very bad for business.
The chicken is spectacular. So flavourful and moist. The Greek salad was lacking in flavour. I’d say your best bet would be to get it to go make your own salad and buy the chicken from here as the price is right.
Probably the best chicken in Montreal. They have a very unique blend of spices and there’s no lack of flavour. Also their service is amazing.
Gave it a second chance. Meh.Industrial fries, industrial salad, overdone/dry chicken. Breads were decent.Sorry, but way better grilled chicken options in Montreal.
Had dinner there June 10th. It was outstanding. We had some of the best grilled chicken ever. The Greek salad was also delicious. About the only down side to this place is that it’s a bit of a dive where you order at the counter and the food is served on paper plates. Also they don’t serve alcohol. Overall for the money you can’t beat it. A half chicken, fries and drink costs $13.95 and the large Greek salad costs $8.95. Both can be split.

Lunch at Sparta. This is by far the best Greek food I have had in a long time as it comes in huge portions. Chicken is grilled to perfection and I loved their fries too- very fresh. Grilled chicken caeser salad is too die for, fresh, crispy and fulfilling. must try it, makes me hungry when I think of it but too sad I dont live in Montreal to enjoy this great food (I could literally have it every day). The owner is a very friendly guy and the service is great too. I hope he opens one up in Toronto as well.
