Tried Taste of Excellence last night for the first time. There were a couple of dishes we really enjoyed and a couple not so much. I think it has more to do with us learning and understanding the menu than the food itself. Service was terrific. The Ginger Beef might just be the best Ginger Beef in the city. We’ll definitely return and try more dishes.
This is the closest thing we have found in Saskatoon to the food we ate in northern China. The service is always awesome. steer clear of the Western Chinese dishes and try something else from their menu and you’ll be in for a treat.

Glad it’s back. We were very glad to find the owners had reopened on Broadway. Service was very prompt and our food arrived quickly and steaming hot. Ordered three dishes for the two of us and had enough for lunches. They could use some work on checking back with you once they’ve delivered the food, however it doesn’t detract from the wonderful fare.
Most discussing food I’ve ever had. Spring rolls were from a frozen extra foods box. Pork was frozen from a box and it took 30 min to get my coke when I was the only one in the restaurant. Braised beef was cold and looked discussting to say the least. The soup looked like vomit and tasted sour and cold when it was supposed to be hot and sweet. Never go again. Service 0/10 food negative – 7/10
Garbage service. Food is good no question about that,but the service is absolute freaking garbage.You ask or even try to strike conversation with the servers and they look annoyed like how dare. Or to really piss you off they insult you in mandarin in front of you , laugh and then look back you smiling like they didn’t just rip into you. Dont expect base level restaurant courtesy from THEM!!!
Taste Legends has comeback. Comfort food, ummmmmm. We have more choices again, missed them since closing on 20th st. Decor still a work in progress. service was quick. Delivery service available, will take advantage. Will be back again and again. 😀
