We buy our bread from here every week. We live on the east side so we sometimes go to the Broadway location, but also make the trip to 33rd depending on where we are in the city when I remember we need bread. I have enjoyed everything I have had from here. The split pea curry roll, croissants and danishes. So delicious. I was also very happy to find out that they make their sour dough from a fermented starter without yeast. We will continue to buy bread from here as long as they make it!
Very good and very consistent. I have not tried all of the sandwiches but the ones I have were great. It’s a gem, but not a hidden one as it gets busy over lunch.
Awesome. They two girls working the counter are efficient and kind. I just came in to get a loaf of prairie grain and left with four huge bags of soon to be consumed deliciousness! Thank you Christies! Always so reliable!
PoorPoor Counter Service. I was in the bakery on Saturday AM to pick up some buns for Thanksgiving. When I arrived there was one customer who was being served. I waited inline while two other girls talked behind the counter and an other girl came from the back and talked to one of the girls. I was NOT talked to for over 10 minutes at which time I left the business without anything except a extremely upset mind. This MUST change if you are wanting people to come to your business
Best Bakery!. I have run a small business for over 25 years and have been a customer of Christies since day one. They have the best bread in town plus their poppyseed bread is so delicious!! Many other favourites also. Tracy is so willing to try to please her costumer’s and does what she can to help fill your needs.
Support local!. I have nothing bad to say about this place, I love everything, especially the grilled sandwiches! Just in absolute love with the Banh Mi!!!!
So tasty!. The cinnamon buns remind me of childhood, the poppyseed croissants are SO GOOD, the feta and sundried tomato croissants were tasty, and the gingersnaps are soft and delicious. Staff are friendly. Thumbs up!
