The food was very tasty. The best wonton soup I have had in a long time, the broth had flavour and so did the wontons! My thai coconut chicken had lots of meat in it and the flavour was lifted with lime. So well done, we will be visiting again!
When a place is as old as this, there is a reason they’re still in business after all these years. There’s some hit and miss, so listen up and you’ll have a good time.Chicken balls are massive, think christmas orange. GET. Crispy ginger beef, get it, every time. Spring rolls, GET IT, their the only place that makes them fresh by hand. They have won awards for these.Chicken fried rice is a must, it won’t last.Chicken chow mein is a pass- get the shanghai noodle instead.Egg rolls, pass.Lemon chicken is hit and miss, but u get loads.Honestly this place is too generous to me, it must cut into their profits because there’s so much value. One thing is for sure it’s got me coming back. The service is always great, the owners are kind, I’ve been there so often i have watched their son grow. Oh, and if you get a parking ticket they offer to pay a portion, like who does that, amazeballs.
This is my first time reviewing, I usually don’t because I am not very fussy when it comes to food. But I feel very disappointed with the food I ordered the thai green curry on rice which I thought would be like a soup dish. As you can see in the picture no rice vermicelli noodles instead a bright green paste also. I couldn’t finish this meal because of how distasteful it looked and tasted. This was very unexpected, I honestly just wanted to throw it out. I don’t have a phone atm or I would have called and asked for money back.
***This place is now in Riversdale, where Lien Thanh used to be***We had chicken spring rolls, shrimp coconut curry soup, and coconut curry beef. It was all bland and bleh. Interior had a rubbery/plastic smell that was overwhelming upon entering. Service was very good; friendly and attentive. The food…not so good.
I’ve tried quite a few things here but the one menu item I’ve enjoyed most is just their basic noodle bowl. It’s always fresh and tasty. They have good friendly staff and its family run so it’s not a surprise if one of their kids will serve you. I don’t mind at all though. It’s a good restaurant but there are better places to go.
I have been ordering from this restaurant for quite a long time and have not had a bad experience. My brother lives on this food. Probably my favourite spring rolls in the city because they are so crunchy on the outside and meaty on the inside. Awesome chicken rice noodle soup also. Not my favourite Vietnamese place but definitely near the top.
We order here occasionally for work. Each time someone has gone to pick up. Normally there are about 19 or so people ordering. I must say I’m impressed for the fact they have never messed up the orders.The food has always been ok. But being said I’ve only had takeout. Maybe eating in would be all the difference.
