I have worked in the customer service industry for years as well, I understand the stress that employees carry during busy shifts. However, it is not condemnable for a server to refuse you proper amount of change because she or he feels like they deserved the gratuity. My bill was around $12.00 and I handed a $20 bill. I only received $5.00 back in change, and the server left right away to tend other duties. There were no other staff at the front of the house, and I did not feel like it was appropriate to chase down the server to the table she was waiting. I stood at the cash with her for awhile as the server gathered her things to wait the table and she didn’t acknowledge that I stood there with the $5 bill and suggesting she gave me an inappropriate amount of change. You EARN the tips, I do not owe you the tips. You are getting paid hourly and it is my choice if I feel like you deserve my 10-15% tip. For you to not give me back my appropriate amount of change is stealing. You did not deserve the ~25% tip. Even prior to my payment I was not going to tip because I never got my coffee refilled, and even stood up to find another server to fill it up and I was scolded at (to be fair yes, I shouldn’t fill up my own coffee but waiting for 30 mins for a refill is not appropriate either). The server was rude, I unfortunately did not catch her name but remember her face I will be heading back to the restaurant to speak to a manager. I thought maybe there was an automatic gratuity, however I only had a party of 4 people and so the automatic gratuity did not make sense.

Just came back from breakfast here, completely disappointed with the food and service. We’ve been to the Preston location multiple times and thefood was always good with decent service. Today was the least busy we’ve seen this place, we got seated quickly, got our coffee gave our orders and didn’t see the server again for 30-40 minutes. Once the food finally arrived the eggs benedict was way undercooked, the yolk had already been broken and was dripping down the side and all I could see was tons of uncooked egg white under the sauce which was cold and forming a layer from sitting too long. When the server asked how our food was I asked to send back my order which she did, and returned to let me know that my food looked the way it did becauseI asked for a soft poached egg. Not sure when soft poached started to mean themajority of the egg white should not be cooked with a disgusting texture. Will not be returning to this restaurant it is not worth the cost and time.

We went here for breakfast today. Horrible! Everything was bland, boring and we could have made a better breakfast at home! Not to mention overpriced. Service was slow & wait staff seemed lazy and uncaring as well. We will not be back.

I don’t know, it’s a chain breakfast restaurant in a city that’s lacking competitors, there is little more to say. Think Denny’s with an emphasis on fruit dishes, but with very crowded seating and you’ve got a pretty decent picture of the whole operation. I didn’t experience issues with service like others have, but the seating is cramped and the place is way too loud for me to be able to have a normal conversation with friends and eat my hangover food in peace. Guilty pleasure to some degree, but lots of room for improvement.

Victoria Day brunch, arrived around noon. The wait to be seated was around 20 minutes which seemed odd because there were several empty tables to be had. It seemed like the staff was a little overwhelmed/unorganized considering the number of staff vs customers at that time.I ordered the Breakfast Burger which came with wedge home fries that were perfectly seasoned. My GF ordered the Cora’s special which is pretty traditional, she said it was yum also. My other observation was it took a long time to get our meals after we ordered.

Well i got there in line and the group that walked in after me was seated before the people infront of me then our food did not come untill an hour+after we ordered and after 2 grouos that came in after were served. On top of that the food was cold to touch and thos was all with having a 2 and 3 year old with us it was not a good way to start saturday.

Was our first experience, and wasn’t wowed. Busy and kind of noisy. Food was alright. Ordered a mountain of strawberries waffle and western skillet. Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t outstanding. Prefer the western skillet at grainfields to Coras.
