We have been here a few times. The restaurant is fairly clean. Staff have always been quite efficient. Not one of biggest buffets in town. Less options. The food itself is alright. Nothing was horrible. But I was never wowed. But then it’s quite hard to do so with buffets.
From the mediocre buffet to the depressing ice cream. Overall my meal experience was an overall par. My food was edible and the cutlery was clean. I feel they use windex on the windows and bleach in their toilets.
Poor quality. Buffet was limited and not stocked and poor quality food chicken was still pink and potatoes where like chewing on shoes. Service was poor it seemed like they didn’t know what they served 🙁 will not be back
Awesome Buffet. Great meal tonight! Buffet table was fully stocked….chicken was plentiful and hot! Other meats included boneless dry ribs, baked ham and chicken balls..big improvement over several months ago.Will be back! Kudos to Susan for providing exceptional service!24 Oct, 2014Worst food ever!Sad.. I have been eating at Johnny Boys since its inception(RK chicken);but tonight was a deal breaker.. yes staff is always friendly but when we arrived at 4:25 the buffet table was half empty, ALL meat items were COLD. The wedge fries were cold and after asking when some HOT chicken might be put out I was told in 12 minutes(that was at 5:12 pm.) Finally at 5:20 fresh chicken was out out as were fresh hot onion rings! Other patrons were also complaining. Sad. This business has all the symptoms of failure!Cannot and will not go back.No sign of the owners tonight either.
Substantial. We used to go here all the time and decided to try it out again. It was not a favourable visit. There were no buns or bread out, there were cobwebs in the bathroom, the food bins were empty and not refilled, and when we paid the waitress actually had a plate of chicken bones on the counter…..eeee-yuck! The carpet was filthy and the entire place sure could use a clean up, paint job etc……..Will not be going back again – too expensive for what you get.
Really Enjoyed It – Will Be Back!. My family and I went here the other night and had a great meal. I have a 2 year old who is picky with restaurant food but they had some great kid options like spaghetti, macaroni and cheese and Jello which he demolished. Everything was really fresh, hot and delicious. The Greek ribs, fried chicken and wedges were so good. They had a beet borscht which was really delicious. If it hadn’t of been a buffet, I would have been content eating the borscht all night! Service was good, always had filled drinks and they cleared plates often.We will definitely be back!
Yummy!!. First time at Johnny Boy’s and hopefully not the last. The food was pretty good and they had a great selection. The fried chicken is sooo good!! Enjoyed having a taste of so many different dishes, cabbage rolls, perogies, BBQ’d ribs, dry ribs, salads…all very tasty. Good price too!!
