This is a great place. Friendly and attractive stack. They have delicious house brewed beer, and offer them on a sale on Wednesdays. I’ve been here a number of times alone, with wife, with co workers and with parents and have had nothing but great visits. The menus is great and I’ve enjoyed the Dynamite Tempura Shrimp, the Drunken Noodles, the Mushroom Soup…. I recommend it.
Went there for my sister’s birthday. The service was great. We waiting a couple minutes for a table. Friendly and aware servers. We got bruschetta and nachos as appetizers. Both were delicious, especially the bruschetta. I ordered a steak sandwich. Not impressed at all for the $22 price tag on it. I ordered medium rare and it came rare. The garlic toast it was on had no flavor and was extremely dry. I didn’t eat it. The steak lacked serious flavor. I got a side of broccolini with it that was so undercooked it may as well have been raw. Again, no flavor. I got fries with it, which were good, but a little over seasoned. The gravy was good but they give you about an ounce of it which isn’t enough for your fries. The server observed it was a birthday and my sister was given a free shot. Overall, service 5 stars, appetizers 4 stars and main course 1 star.
Below average burger. The service was great but you would think they would put more care into their burger. You could tell it was a frozen patty that was barely warm when I got it. I had to send it back and I would never get it again.
Its ok. Came for supper last night. I must say its ok. The restaurant was clean and sufficient amount of wait staff. I had a steak sandwich with mushrooms, which I must say was cooked perfectly. The mushrooms were very bland and the steak needed salt added. No biggie. I had sweet potato fries and green salad. The fries were good but hard to screw up fries. The green salad was a nice surprise almonds and cranberries. Not just the usual lettuce salad. My sis had the fish and chips which she only had a few bites. The fish was soggy, soggy, soggy. My spouse had a burger and said it was edible but not something to be ordered again. I was happy with my meal and would return again. Spouse said they too would come again but not for a burger.
Just all right!. I decided not to give you a thumbs up or down on this visit. I will after my next visit. Service was great, beers were ice cold. Meal was just all right, nothing spectacular thats for sure. My food was actually cold. Portion size on the sweet potato fries was next to none?!?! Far from what you usually receive. Plate was bare! I visit the location in Regina on Albert the most out of any OJ’s and I would say in the 40 + visits there I have never had one bad meal or complaint. These guys run the best OJ’s ever!!! I never go to 8th street anymore. It consistently got bad over time and I became so disappointed.
Hubby had the cheeseburger which was large and delicious! I had the Philly cheesesteak which wasn’t as huge as I hoped but was enough for a big appetite! It was delicious! I found my order of home fries to be extra gritty but hubby’s were fine! Good service with a comped dessert to make up for the gritty fries. Can’t complain about the grit, just proves the taters were real! Would definitely go again! The OJ’S Honey Brown and Blonde were fabulous and the honey garlic wings were very good. The dirt pie (all the grit in the taters had me Jonesing for more dirt!) Was incredible!
Excellent customer service. I was in for beer and ordered the steak sandwich. I ordered mushrooms, brocolli, and garlic mashed potatoes with gravy on the side. I got my order but there were onions on top of my steak and not mushrooms. I took them off and started eating as everything else was right, and there was no sense in sending it back . I ate and when the waitress came to take my plate I explained that I didn’t eat the onions because I ordered mushrooms. A few minutes later the manager came and said that there was a mix up and paid for my beer. I accepted that and realize that people make mistakes. I didn’t act like a douchebag and complain. Instead I thought it’s better to be civilized. I’m glad I did. I’ll be back and tell all my friends too.
