Alexander’s runs on location. It’s one of the only places within walking distance for a quick lunch off campus. The food is mediocre and so is the service. Most recently I had the Thai chicken salad. Major meh.
Just ate the ‘special’ Bison burger and it was basically a dry/thin patty that was like cardboard. No flavour and the tomatoes were thicker than the patty. I’m never overly satisfied with the food here, but only go because of the proximity to the university.

Had lunch here today. We were seated upstairs and found it very loud. We had a lot of trouble hearing our server over the noise. I think it would have been quieter on the main level or on the patio. My hubby ordered the steak sandwich and I had a chicken wrap with side salad. I asked that both the dressing for the salad and the wrap be on the side. Only the salad dressing came on the side. I did not have time to wait for a new wrap so ate it as it came. The small amount of chicken was unevenly distributed in the wrap and so half was mostly lettuce. Too bad because the flavour was pretty good. The side salad was alright but I would have liked to have seen more than a couple of slices of cucumber and one wedge of tomato in it. Unfortunately the steak sandwich was also tough. Service was excellent. Quick, efficient, and they gave us a discount on the meal.
Decent food. The club sandwich is my favourite. It’s close to the university and is a nice play to unwind after a busy day. The patio is a bliss.
Never going again if I can avoid it.. First I would like to say that the service was actually very good, food adequate. Now, on to my rant. I went with some friends for some after work drinks. I got there a little late, when I showed up everyone was getting a round of margarita’s, I saw them and instantly decided to join in. Seconds after the waitress has walked away everyone takes their first sip and they start to spit it out. No lime, and about ten times the amount of salt. We get the waitresses attention and she brings them back to the bar. At this point she is off to do something else and I see the bartender empty the drinks into new cups with less salt on the rims and put them back out again. The waitress then brings them back to the table and puts one of the old ones in front of me. The person next to me had a pre-squeezed lime in theirs. NEVER AGAIN.
