The Broadway Cafe is an old school 50’s style diner serving up diner classics. The place is old and a little run down but that also adds to the charm. The food is decent and the service was friendly.
Second time at this establishment. A couple years ago I gave it a 3, but I’m downgrading to a 2. Firstly, it should be two $$ rather than one $. Way overpriced for the quality. Spent almost $50 on two average, meh meals and a milkshake. Reuben and sweet potato fries were good, but nothing special. Crispy chicken sandwich was nothing special. It is also kinda grubby in there, not particularly comfortable.
I like this place! I’ve only ever got breakfast and brunch items here (and a few soups here and there). Nothing disappoints, but part of the reason why is that I know what to expect. This type of diner is more quantity than quality, and greasy enough to make it a bi-weekly experience at most, but it’s great at what it does!It has a really good vibe, friendly staff, and great classic diner food. They have a breakfast special if you go in before 11am too! This is definitely my go-to low-key breakfast/brunch spot in Saskatoon. Hoping to try out their lunch/dinner menu soon!
Worst food, and amateur management. IF you want something good go to POACHED, which is actually a better price ( Its cheaper, and tastier). This place deserves a lower rating than McDonald’s.
All I can say is that the food is TERRIBLE!!! Its consistently too greasy, over fried, poor quality ingredients, and overpriced. Probably only stays in business because no one else is the neighborhood offers breakfast, and the other greasy burger joints are all bars. Decor is retro, but is really grungy, as the owners must be too cheap get the place cleaned.
Had a wonderful Sunday breakfast. Despite a busy restaurant, we got a table in about ~10 mins. Great service, working to help us split a breakfast between a couple kids, etc. Food was excellent and delicious. Total bill was a little higher than I would prefer, but that’s my problem not their’s.
This is a fun 50s themed diner. I really think the highlight is the milkshakes which come in the metal milkshake machine cups. They are huge. The strawberry is my preferred flavour. The burgers are good. I really like the chicken burgers because they aren’t dry.
